Today began like most Sundays do around here. Ryan and I sat down to a delicious breakfast that included scrambled eggs made with ham and spinach.
Plus a sliced apple with peanut butter for dipping on the side!
Then it was time for church followed by some Sunday errands. At Publix, we loaded up on food for the week, including ingredients for a few crock pot meals.
Tonight’s dinner is already cooking away. If it turns out well, I’ll be sure to share the recipe with you guys. Lots of lentils in this dish!
Lunch
Lunch came together quickly. We made roast beef subs with fresh bread from the bakery.
On the side I had a sliced Harry & David pear that I plucked from a gift basket the company sent to me yesterday. Those pears are so darn delicious. (Stay tuned for a Harry & David giveaway later this week!)
I also had my fair share of Thorntons toffee that Ryan brought back from England.
Oh my word, this stuff is magnificent. It’s turning me into a toffee monster. It tastes like a cross between milky caramels and crunchy toffee. Yum!
I’m hoping to spend the rest of the afternoon outside. See ya!

I’m doing a slow cooker meal today, too! It’s beef and broccoli and it smells SO good right now! Fingers crossed that both of our meals turn out well!
Kristen @ notsodomesticated
yum!! will you be posting the recipe on your blog? i want to check it out!
julie @ peanut butter fingers
Hi Julie
I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I live in Ireland and I’m trying hard to make 2013 my year of healthy eating. I’ve put on some weight and am not feeling great about myself but your daily posts have been so inspirational and uplifting!! Just wanted to say hi and thanks for bringing some sunshine into my day…keep up the great work
PS Sadie is so adorable

Fresh bread is always the best! For some reason, everything tastes better when it is from overseas. My brother went to France and the french chocolate he brough back was to.die.for.
Enjoy the gorgeous weather
Lauren
My mom use to make the most delicious toffee cookies! I haven’t had them in so long but it might be well over due! She will have to mail me some
Rachel
Um…that toffee looks amazing! I believe you should do a giveaway
Amy @ Writing While Running
Ah freshly baked bread makes me swoon. So delicious. I’m not a huge toffee fan, anything that can get stuck in my teeth and that’s really chewy I could easily pass on. Like gummies and candy too.
Lisa
Thornton’s product’s are amazing; some of my favourite chocolates!
Michelle@Peachy Palate
Oooo toffee! Lately I’ve been having the munches on chocolate covered power berries. YUM. I’m really excited about the giveaway! Harry and David are a favorite!

That toffee sounds SO good!! I think the only thing that would keep me away is knowing the tummy ache that would ensue after consuming it…maybe.

I am excited to see what the Crock Pot meal is. If it contains lots of lentils then it absolutely HAS to be good!! Lentils are definitely one of my favorite foods right now.
Holy moley that toffee looks unbelievably delicious. Don’t get me wrong, I am excited about this future Harry & David giveaway, but it is too bad you aren’t doing a giveaway for the toffee!

Emily @ FitMamaInTheCity
Toffee? Yummm!!! I’m so jealous you get to spend your days ouside! It’s a little cold here to do more than a few minutes at a time so I pretty much head out for my run and then take shelter in my room for the rest of the time. Oh well!
But fresh bread. Yum.
Sarah @PickyRunner
