Apparently yesterday slipped away from me!
It quickly went from this…
To this…Perhaps I should explain?
After a fun afternoon of shopping with my girlfriends, I came home, grabbed a late lunch and headed back out to run some errands with Ryan.
We were on a mission to pick up a whole bunch of obnoxiously pink and girly bachelorette party gear for a bachelor party cruise Ryan will be attending next weekend.
You may remember how Ryan’s bachelor party began… Well, he has similar plans for his best friend Dru.
Another ‘80s night (in place of the cruise’s traditional formal night) will take place on board the ship, causing Ryan to nab this hip lil’’ pair of glasses. After we hit up four different stores and had all the pink beads and “girl’s night out” shot glasses we needed, we headed home to relax a bit and eat some food before meeting our friends Daniel, Merri and Lindsay for dinner.
Dinner + Drinks Downtown
Once 8 o’clock came around, we headed out to Heat, a new restaurant-turned-club, that opened last week in downtown Orlando.
Ryan and I arrived first and ordered some drinks while waiting for our friends to arrive. Vodka water lime fo’ me! When it comes to drinkin’, I’m a vodka girl through and through.
Soon our friends arrived and we ordered a bunch of the tapas dishes. I enjoyed parts of a seared tuna salad, BBQ pork and short ribs dish. The short ribs were my favorite of the three, though every single dish was a bit spicy for my liking. I was glad we ate some food before we went!
After dinner, we decided to do an impromptu bar crawl and went hoppin’ from bar to bar, ordering some drinks, dancing and having a good time!Strawberry vodka + soda water + orange and lime slices = Win!Why do I feel the need to make obnoxious faces when I have a few cocktails? I have a feeling Janae would appreciate this little habit… After bar hoppin’,the night wasn’t over…
As Ryan and I were heading home, I got the idea to pay a late-night visit to IHOP!
We channeled our inner college kids and hit up the pancake joint for some grub.We shared an ice cream sundae (which I dominated), two apple cinnamon pancakes and a plate of scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon. We were shocked at how slammed IHOP was around 2 a.m. considering we don’t live in a college town. Apparently people other than college kids hit up this place after midnight regularly. Who knew?
All in all, last night was a blast!
Now I’m off to get some food in mah belly. It’s breakfast time!
