Hello! I’m back after a jam-packed Labor Day weekend. My weekend was filled with wedding fun, scuba diving and time with some of my favorite people. Lots of catching up to do today!
Early Saturday afternoon, Ryan and I arrived in St. Augustine and met up with the beautiful bride-to-be, her fiancé, family and wedding party for a rehearsal at The White Room.
We arrived a little early, so we walked around the historic town and grabbed coffee before walking over to the wedding venue.
Hot coffee on a hot summer afternoon probably wasn’t my best decision of the day!
Once we made it to The White Room, everyone started to arrive and the excitement was contagious.
The bride and groom looked stunning, as always. They were beaming!
Minda was one of my sorority sisters in college and all of her bridesmaids, with the exception of her maid of honor, are fellow Kappa Deltas which made everything so much fun. Brett, Minda’s maid of honor, went to college with us as well and hung out with us all the time and we all love her and know her well, too!
It’s awesome to be in a wedding where everyone already knows each other and has a great time together no matter what! It was a great group of girls which only added to the excitement of the day.
After we spent a few minutes catching up and hugging the bride and groom, Shannon, the wedding coordinator at The White Room, took charge of the rehearsal and walked us through ceremony logistics.
The ceremony took place on the rooftop of the venue which allowed everyone to enjoy beautiful views of St. Augustine and the water behind the couple as they said “I do!”
Since it was so hot outside, the outdoor portion of the rehearsal was intentionally kept very short. Minda is an expert planner and doesn’t forget any details, so it was very, very smooth!
One of the best things about St. Augustine is the walkability of the city. After the rehearsal, we walked two blocks to the Casa Monica Hotel for the rehearsal lunch.
How cute is this little favor table!?
Inside the boxes guests found three truffles which tasted fantastic!
Lunch was catered by the phenomenal 95 Cordova restaurant.
Ryan, my sister, her fiancé and I ate at 95 Cordova earlier this year and raved about our food, so when I found out the rehearsal lunch was going to be catered by the restaurant, I knew we were in for a treat! The food was amazing. Highlights for me included the pork, polenta and glazed asparagus.
And dessert, of course!
The key lime pie was fabulous. Ryan and I both ate a piece and split a second. Yum!
After the rehearsal lunch, we spent the rest of the day hanging out by the pool until it was time to change for dinner. I didn’t photograph anything from the rest of the day, but we had a blast drinking mojitos and wine at A1A Ale Works with the wedding party before crawling into bed. It was a wonderful Saturday celebrating Minda and Clark!
Wedding recap to come!
