i am fairly new to your site (awesome btw!!), and also new to making smoothies. this may be a retarded question, but why do you use xanthan gum? can i skip it?
ooh i had a question about this…does it help keep you full longer? lately my smoothies leave me starving in about 2 hours even with my protein powder, oats, flax….
You have turned me into a smoothie addict! I just tried adding cocoa powder to one – sooo good! I never would have thought to add that to a smoothie with strawberries!
Up next – my first green monster! I’m really hesitant to try it, but I’m sure it’ll be great.
I love making smoothies too! Have you ever tried adding PB to yours? I almost always do with mine and it’s delish Nonfat Greek yogurt is a great way to add protein as well.
Random question…what brand of protein powder do you use? Or do you use multiple brands?
I’m on a lower calorie diet to lose weight, so I got the Designer Whey that is lower calorie (100 calories and 18 g protein/scoop). The vanilla flavor is not exactly super tasty in a smoothie…just okay. I’ve heard that the Beverly UMP is the tastiest but it’s more for serious body builders…would that matter? Or maybe I just need to try a chocolate flavor.
how many calories does one of your smoothies typically have? as part of your healthy approach to life (which i really like and appreciate), do you calorie count? keep track of weight? I love reading your workouts and meals, but wonder how you keep track without driving yourself crazy. Thanks!
I noticed that you eat flavored greek yogurt and use it in your smoothies and I was just wondering (because I LOVE greek yogurt) of what you thought about the sugars in it. Do you think their bad for you?
Thank you for sharing tasty post on “Smoothies and Shakes” it is awesome, you can include smoothie in your another recipes post which will be healthy, nutritious food!

Stupid question: is the cocoa powder the unsweetened variety? Just don’t wanna mess it up if not
