I was in total family mode yesterday and didn’t whip out my camera until after the sun went down. We spent the day with family, enjoyed a great breakfast out with Ryan’s grandparents and hung out in the backyard for hours. It was wonderful!
A little before 6 p.m., our good friends Terry and Daniel (they were both groomsmen in our wedding), drove over to my mother-in-law’s house to meet up with me, Ryan, my sister and her boyfriend. Our little gang had plans to head to Siesta Key for happy hour… a happy hour that eventually morphed into an impromptu Siesta Key Bar Crawl.
Our first stop of the night took us to S.K.O.B.
There were dollar bills plastered all over the walls of S.K.O.B. which was pretty neat!
Daiquiri Deck was our second stop of the evening.
The back wall of Daiquiri Deck is lined with different flavors of daiquiris and you can order tons of different flavor combinations. Our group ordered two rounds of the Deck Diesel which was an orange and vodka based daiquiri.
Those drinks go down a little too easily.
We had so much fun with our friends and were so glad they were visiting their families in Sarasota for the Thanksgiving holiday so we could spend some time together.
Daniel is Ryan’s cousin and was one of the best men in our wedding. (Ryan had two best men.) Ryan and Daniel roomed together throughout college, so Daniel and I became really close as well.
He’s one of the most hysterical people I’ve ever met and my abs hurt from laughing so hard throughout the night.
Our third and final stop of the evening took us to the Beach Club bar where we ordered more drinks and had a blast dancing to live music from Noise Ordinance.
The band was really good and played an awesome variety of music including some original songs as well as songs by Rusted Root, Counting Crows, The Killers and more. (Whenever I hear “Send Me On My Way” I think of the movie Matilda! Ryan says he thinks of Ice Age. We are so cool.) My sister and I sang our hearts out!
Just like the last time I hit the dance floor, the camera couldn’t keep up with my moves.
This is a very, very good thing.
Now my mind is on one thing: Breakfast! Time to eat!
