Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine

Description

A slightly sweet, warm and comforting holiday beverage to serve at your next holiday party


Ingredients

  1. 4 cups apple cider
  2. 1 bottle Wellsley Farms Cabernet Sauvignon
  3. 1/4 cup Wellsley Farms Organic Grade A Dark Maple Syrup
  4. 3 cinnamon sticks
  5. juice of two oranges
  6. 4 whole cloves
  7. 3 star anise
  8. 1 large orange, sliced thin, with any seeds removed
  9. Cranberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine apple cider, wine, maple syrup, cinnamon sticks, juice of two oranges, cloves and star anise
  2. Cover and heat the mulled wine on low until hot, approximately one hour
  3. Reduce heat to warm and sprinkle orange slices and cranberries on top of mulled wine
  4. Ladle into mugs and enjoy!
