Walk, Dinner, Cookies…

October 21, 2010 by Julie 23 Comments

Sounds about right! 😀

Gorgeous weather, coupled with fantastic walk with one of my best friends and my oh-so-hyper dog made for a wonderful late afternoon activity!

After work today Sadie and I headed over to Baldwin Park to meet up with my friend Merri for a walk around Lake Baldwin.pasta 010Before Merri arrived, Sadie and I wasted some time at the dog park.pasta 012Sadie made a beeline for a tree and I thought maybe she was trying coerce a squirrel into playing with her… mouth. 😉

Then I saw it…pasta 019 And her intensity all made sense.

I helped her out and shook the ball out of the tree for a couple of rounds of fetch.pasta 020 Then Merri arrived and we had a great time walking around the lake and chatting away about her sister’s wedding, my upcoming wedding, running a marathon next year (what!?) and everything under the sun.

Sadie loved seeing her Aunt Merri again. She practically did flips in the air when Merri got out of her car. pasta 021After walking for about an hour, Sadie and I headed home to get crackin’ on dinner.

Dinner

Ryan has a soccer game this evening, so it was a girl’s night! Just me and my little girly pup.

I made myself a noodle bowl that included Portobello mushrooms, cauliflower, fettuccine and marinara sauce.

It was g-o-o-d.

After dinner I was craving something sweet and cooked up half of a batch of pumpkin spice cookies.pumpkin spice cookies 030I ate three. These cookies are beyond delicious and seriously addicting.

I just got a call from Ryan and he’s on his way home. I bet he’s beyond excited to park his butt next to me on the couch and finish watching the Real Housewives of DC reunion. 😉

‘Til tomorrow!

Love the noodle bowl! I don’t own a TV so I watch shows off of hulu, or I watch TV when I go to the gym! 🙂

Sounds like you had a good evening!

Your dog is so cute. My parent’s dog is obsessed with tennis balls. It is amazing how obsessed he is.

Haha. You are one lucky girl to have your guy tune in on the real housewives. Mine would never dream of it. He just laughs if he walks in the room and it’s on. I’m loving the new real housewives of B.Hills.
