Snooki Approved

April 20, 2011 by Julie 51 Comments

I think my lunch today would be Snooki-approved.

Yep, I Like It!

No, I didn’t eat it while sportin’ my hair in a big ol’ poof… but I did eat a meal that included pickles!

Pickle Eater

First Sadie turned into Snooki and now the little Jersey girl is inspiring my meals? Clearly Jersey Shore is taking over my life!

Today’s mid-day meal included three bread and butter pickles served with a chopped carrot and a Morningstar Farms veggie burger, which I enjoyed on a whole wheat sandwich thin topped with mustard, tomato and butter lettuce.

Burger!

This particular veggie patty was the California-style turk’y burger and I liked it a lot! I typically gravitate toward the Asian-style or pizza-flavored veggie burgers, but this one was a winner.

And speaking of winners…

Chia Seeds Giveaway Winner

The winner of the chia seeds giveaway is…

322, Come on Doooown!

Lauren!

Congratulations, Lauren! Please email me at pbfingers@gmail.com with your mailing address so you may receive your 2-pound bag of chia seeds and make 5,000 bagelwiches. 🙂

I could eat a whole jar of pickles, they’re so salty and crunchy and delicious! Speaking of crunch, your lunch sounds/looks amazing, but unfortunately, at my office it’s always SO quiet & everyone is in earshot so I have loud-crunch anxiety. I didn’t even toast my bagel that much 🙁

The california ones are good — and the spicy black bean burgers are INSANE for a frozen, non-meat burger!

I love pickles! I used to snack on them all the time! Thank you for the veggie burger suggestion. I was eating Boca for a while but I really don’t like the way that they taste. I want more of a veggie tasting buger. Do Morningstar Farms taste more like veggies?

Have you tried Dr. Prager’s veggie burgers? They are the bomb diggity. I used to be obsessed with the Morning Star ones, but the Dr. Prager’s ones are even better!

Love the blog title today … cute and catchy!

Pickles are such a good quick go-to snack! Especially if u want one with a crunch 🙂 I used to have them a lot when I needed to crunch on something … then u wanna know what I recently just switched to? I dunno if this is really weird but … Trader Joe’s has these jars of Hearts of Palm (sticks) and I guess I’ve kinda replaced my pickles w/those! They’re SO good … and less sodium, plus they have some fiber & protein! I literally eat them straight from the jar. Hopefully this isn’t a weird snack since I’ll be publicly posting! 🙂

    Happy Wednesday girl!
