Pottery Barn Obsession

September 6, 2011 by Julie 59 Comments

It felt good to get crackin’ on my work-related to do list and forget about the house-related to do list for a little while today.

I worked through lunch, enjoying a Caprese bagelwich with baby peppers and a cup of Greek yogurt at my desk.

I made my Caprese bagelwich by topping a wheat bagel with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil leaves.

At the last second I thought to add some of the leftover sautéed onions from last night’s steak sandwiches.

Great decision!

I also basically chugged 33 ounces of Ferrarelle naturally sparkling mineral water that the company sent me to try.

The water is naturally carbonated and is bottled at the source in Italy. Fancy, huh?

I absolutely loved the fresh, crispness of Ferrarelle. I am a fan of sparkling water in general and this one was definitely top notch.

It made me wonder why water can’t just come out of the tap carbonated? For some reason, the bubbles make it easier for me to drink than regular water.

Errands + Frozen Yogurt Pit Stop

After working a bit more, I took a 45-minute breather to do some returns and purchase a new curtain for the kitchen window.

While I was out and about I grabbed a cup of frozen yogurt.

I ate half before snapping the pic. Smile

I kept my cup small since I knew I’d be eating dinner shortly, but small fro yo is better than no fro yo, especially when it’s topped with Heath bar bits, chocolate-covered sunflower seeds, Capt’n Crunch cereal and granola.

Dinner

Tonight’s dinner included my favorite fish.

Salmon!

We enjoyed a meal of broiled salmon, roasted green beans and zucchini.

After dinner Ryan and I took Sadie on a 35-minute walk around the neighborhood before coming home and going a little crazy on the Pottery Barn website.

Okay, so I went a little crazy on the Pottery Barn website. Smile

Now that we purchased a couch and loveseat for our living room, I feel like I can finally start buying other items to decorate the space.

I’ve been obsessed with Pinterest when it comes to finding inspiration photos for decorating our new house and am in love with this Pottery Barn look:

I managed to locate and buy every single Pottery Barn pillow on that couch to be used on our new couch.

And I bought this rug in the brown trim:

I hope everything looks good when it’s all in one space!

No way! I’m roasting green beans with yellow zucchini tonight too 😀

And I’m trying a new recipe. Sirloin steak marinated in brown sugar and dark beer. Hopefully it turns out well! I’ve actually never cooked steak before lol.

That is too funny! I have those same exact pillows in the same exact colors (brown and green). Unfortunately, Ob (my vizsla) destroyed 3 of them when we were testing the waters by leaving her out of her crate while we left to run errands. We still have 3 left though. I’ll invest into more when OB turns 2…just to be on the safe side. The joys of raising a crazy vizsla puppy! haha
