Crafting and Baking

November 23, 2011 by Julie 45 Comments

If you are the kind of baker who doesn’t make a mess in the kitchen, then shield your eyes from the HORROR!

baking 001

I really try to clean as I go when I bake, but today I was multitasking and making a bunch of different desserts at once, eating lunch and talking with my mom and grandma, so cleaning wasn’t a priority.

Snacking on enough dough to cause me to go into a sugar coma apparently was a priority.

baking 002

Hello, S’mores Cookie Bars!

baking 003

baking 005

But the baking is nearly done! Only one more batch of cookies to go!

I’m also in the middle of prepping the sweet potato casserole for tomorrow.

baking 004

I am following this recipe from Cooking Light and it’s one of my all-time favorites. My sister and I made it for our Friendsgiving feast and it was a hit so we’re making it again!

Along with tons of baking, today was also filled with lots of crafting.

duck hats 001

Turkey Trot hats are nearly done! They just need some feathers.

Back into the kitchen I go!

All baked goods taste better when you’ve made a mess in the kitchen. Chaos must be linked to flavour somehow 🙂
