Week of Workouts: February 2025

February 19, 2025 by Julie 3 Comments

Thank goodness you guys keep me accountable! I completely let my workout posts and weeknight dinner recaps die a slow death at the end of the year last year. I had so much other content I wanted to share with you guys around that time and wasn’t able to squeeze them in, but I promise I did not forget about them!! And hopefully they’re back for good now!

Today’s blog post is a peek into what a week of workouts looked like for me last week. I initially began this series on the blog as a way to stay true to my roots when I used to share my meals and workouts with you guys every day. Things have changed quite a bit over the past decade and my workouts these days are primarily strength based with lots of walking thrown in the mix. Keep on scrolling to see what I was up to last week!

Week of Workouts: February 2025

Monday: Burn Boot Camp Arm Workout

Arm day on a Monday!? The best way to start the week! I met up with some friends for a Monday morning arm day workout at Burn Boot Camp and I’m not sure why but this one felt particularly hard for me. I’ve been trying my best to increase my weight selection and challenging my muscles and I felt this one!

Tuesday: Leg Day Workout

leg day workout | Week of Workouts February 2025

On Tuesday, I took myself through a leg workout that took right around 45 minutes to complete. I focused on form and heavy lifts and loved this one… and that’s coming from someone who isn’t the biggest fan of leg day. Give me an old school strength session and I’m a happy girl.

Wednesday: Upper Body Workout

UPPER BODY WORKOUT

On Wednesday, I targeted my upper body in an at-home workout that focused on biceps, triceps, shoulders and chest. I streamed Younger as I completed this workout and I’m not going to lie, I tacked on an extra set or two than I planned on some of the exercises to extend the workout a bit because I was so into the show. Saving this show for my workouts has been the best at-home workout motivation for me! It truly feels like a treat!

Thursday: Rest

No workout for me on Thursday! My early morning was reserved for work time and then while all the boys were at school I had a parent teacher conference and recorded a podcast. I always say if a workout doesn’t happen before noon for me these days, it’s not going to. You guys, I distinctly remembering working out at 10 p.m. in college so I could time my treadmill/elliptical session to watch Real World/Road Rules Challeng on MTV at the college gym… and then I’d shower and go out. Hoooow?!

Friday: Burn Boot Camp Full Body Workout

burn boot camp valentines day | Week of Workouts February 2025

Friday was Valentine’s Day and I met up with a few of my girlfriend’s for a full body workout at Burn. It flew by, as most Burn workouts do and of course it was more fun with friends by my side!

  • Saturday: Rest

No workout for me on Saturday!

  • Sunday: Core Work + Stretching

I’m not usually one for weekend workouts, but I was feeling it on Sunday, mainly because the weather has been so bad and I feel like my body was just craving movement since I wasn’t able to walk outside/run around outside with the boys as much due to so much rain. My workout wasn’t crazy intense and just mainly consisted of some deep core work (bird dogs, dead bugs, etc.) and stretching which felt fantastic.

Question of the Day

What does your workout routine look like these days? Trying anything new? Any solid YouTube workout videos to share that I should try?

Do you not do any “official” cardio? I mean, tons of walking and running around with kids definitely counts! But no running or spinning or anything?
I am injured and have to take some time off from running so it is awesome to think I can stay in shape, be strong, and keep up with the kids anyway!

Hi Leslie!! I truly don’t do much cardio outside of lots of movement with the boys and walking with Pepper. Occasionally I’ll do a metabolic conditioning workout at Burn which is more cardio focused but, honestly, my traditional cardio has drastically decreased in the past few years. I’m sorry you’re injured — I know that’s so frustrating!! But yesss there is so much you can do outside of running to stay in shape, increase your strength and benefit your body! I also genuinely love strength training 10x more than cardio, so it keeps me way more motivated and excited about my workouts. And my heartrate still definitely gets up there during my leg day workouts!

Love these posts! My workouts are still all over place with a 4year old and 18 month old. Life is starting to get easier tho. Thanks for some motivation and workouts to follow!
