Ryan’s Birthday in St. Pete

October 8, 2010 by Julie 25 Comments

Ryan is one lucky birthday boy.

His celebration continued three days after his actual birthday at my parents’ house in St. Pete!

ryans bday in st pete 028 We arrived a little after 7 p.m. and were directed into the dining room for Ryan’s dinner of choice.

He requested a dinner that included ham, sweet potatoes and peas. He’s easy to please!

ryans bday in st pete 021

ryans bday in st pete 022I went back for thirds of the ham steak. My mom makes the best ham steaks because she coats them in a glaze made with a mix of brown sugar and mustard. Trust me, it’s good!

Then it was time.

Cake time!

ryans bday in st pete 023My mom and my sister made Ryan this Oreo ice cream cake themselves!

We were beyond impressed!

ryans bday in st pete 024Ryan and my sister share an intense love for the chocolatey sandwich cookies and his eyes lit up when they brought this monstrosity out for him to enjoy.

I couldn’t wait to dig into my piece.

ryans bday in st pete 033 ryans bday in st pete 036I went back for two more slices after my first. I seriously couldn’t stay away. Cake + Ice cream + Icing + Oreos = Unreal.

Now it’s time to hang out with the fam and update my iPod with some of the awesome songs you guys recommended.

Hooray for Friday night! 😀

Ham sounds tasty and the cake looks sinfully delicious! I have never made an icecream cake but of course they go together nicely. Probably haven’t had one since high school. Looks like fun times!

Ice cream cake has to be my least favorite thing in the whole wide world! The cake is always too wet and cold and the ice cream always tastes odd.

But that one looks sooo good. Then again, I LOVE Oreos too!

Good workout tracks: Glee Cast songs (especially beyonce, gaga, or britney ones), Michael Jackson-the way you make feel, beyonce-get me bodied, timberland ft justin timberlake-carry out. Enjoy!
