Baked Hot Cocoa & Belgian Waffles

March 7, 2010 by Julie 6 Comments

I think we found the location for our rehearsal dinner!

Last night Ryan and I met up with Robin at 400 Beach Seafood and Tap House, a restaurant within walking distance of our wedding ceremony site.

Robin took us through lots of different options and made it pretty clear that we could build a menu and plan our event in whatever way we want. Gotta love that kind of flexibility!

Dinner

We came home ready for dinner!

Everyone was in the mood for pizza, so we ordered two large pizzas, one cheese and one veggie, from Pizza Hut.

Cheese Pizza

I had several slices of each. I really like hopping back and forth between the two different pizzas… the ooey gooey cheesy goodness and the yummy veggies. Great combination!

After dinner, I made baked hot cocoa using a mix my sister gave to my dad for Christmas.

Hot Cocoa Mug Cake Mix

The hot chocolate cake was really easy to make and tasted like molten chocolate cake.

Of course we had to enjoy it with ice cream.

Dessert

Yummy!

Breakfast

Yesterday after making banana walnut stuffed French toast, my family started talking about how nice weekend breakfasts truly are. I love taking extra time to create breakfast comfort food on a sleepy weekend morning.

Today we opted for homemade Belgian waffles.

Belgian Waffle

A Belgian waffle just isn’t a Belgian waffle without syrup and whipped cream.

Doctored Up

What a fantastic start to a Sunday morning!

We’re about to head out to church before going to see manatees today. Sounds like a fun Sunday to me! 😀

sounds like you’ve had a wonderful weekend! I work every single friday, saturday and sunday. it’s the one thing I truly hate about my job. I don’t get to enjoy the weekends like the rest of the world. Having mondays and tuesdays off just isn’t the same!
