Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    my fave healthy snack is chopped raw bell peppers and hummus. I have to eat it while my two year old is napping because child would eat AN ENTIRE PEPPER on his own and leave none for anyone else. Some Mom’s hide their chocolate… I hide my veggies, lol!

    If I want sweet: smoothie with almond milk, spinach, chocolate protein powder, cinnamon, and banana. If I want salty, weird, but: string cheese dipped in a little tomato paste. Soo good!

    Greek yogurt is my go-to snack. You get the protein and if you top it with some chopped nuts, a healthy dose of healthy fats!
