Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Apple slices with PB is my go-to snack. Or a Luna bar-heated up for 10 seconds in the microwave—delicious!

I love making a shake with 1 scoop Sunwarrior Chocolate Protein powder, 1 frozen banana, and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk…blend in a personal blender and it is AMAZING! Yum 🙂 This is healthy and tastes like a chocolate milk shake! Lovee it.

One of my favorite healthy snacks is homemade trail mix: raw almonds, raw cashews, golden raisins, and a little bit of dark chocolate.
I have come to love fresh fruit as a healthy snack. Somehow, I have switched from someone who always craved salty snacks to someone who only wants sweet snacks. I am a huge fan of clementines – Sweet, small, and so much easier to peel than oranges.

I go to my local farmers market and get a scoop full of: raisins, dried banana chips, chocolate chips, almonds, and seeds. I am able to divide the scoops of each into about 7 servings so I can stock up for the week. I’ll hide a bag of trail mix in my purse, backpack, workbag. etc!
Any type of fruit or carrots with hummus. Yum!!
