Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    Apple slices with PB is my go-to snack. Or a Luna bar-heated up for 10 seconds in the microwave—delicious!

    favorite snack would be any fruit that I have on hand. Between fruit and the mini candy bars that I keep on hand to quell cravings- i keep my sweet tooth satisfied!

    Favorite on the run snack would have to be easy and something I can keep in my bad……… an apple. I keep a travel size nutella in there too…so good together. 🙂

    I am seriously loving almonds covered with cocoa powder right now. My all time fav healthy snack is a banana with sunbutter though. It’s the perfect sweet and salty.

    I love making a shake with 1 scoop Sunwarrior Chocolate Protein powder, 1 frozen banana, and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk…blend in a personal blender and it is AMAZING! Yum 🙂 This is healthy and tastes like a chocolate milk shake! Lovee it.

    I have come to love fresh fruit as a healthy snack. Somehow, I have switched from someone who always craved salty snacks to someone who only wants sweet snacks. I am a huge fan of clementines – Sweet, small, and so much easier to peel than oranges.

    Not trying to butter you up or anything( har har), but 100 calorie bags of popcorn are great when I’m in a ‘snacky’ mood when I just want to munch. It fills you up!

    My all time favorite snack is homemade trail mix!
    I go to my local farmers market and get a scoop full of: raisins, dried banana chips, chocolate chips, almonds, and seeds. I am able to divide the scoops of each into about 7 servings so I can stock up for the week. I’ll hide a bag of trail mix in my purse, backpack, workbag. etc!

    My favorite healthy snack is a delicious green monster smoothie! Or the other day I made a bag of 94% fat-free popcorn and added some chocolate chips, which was AMAZING!!!!
