Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

There are so many to choose from but I’d have to say mine is probably nonfat plain greek yogurt with cottage cheese and strawberries. A little sweet and packed with protein! Although a close second would be apples and almond butter, yum 🙂

My favorite healthy snack is anything to do with peanut or almond butter: apple or banana with pb, dates with ab, greek yogurt with Chocolate PB2 (tastes like chocolate pb mousse – yum!)

AH, what an amazing giveaway! I have SO many favorite snacks, it’s hard to think of just one! I always have carrot sticks and other chopped veggies ready to dip in salsa! Also, I love peanut butter and bananas or air-popped popcorn with hot sauce (a little weird, but delicious!)
