Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    My favorite healthy snack is a cup of vanilla chobani with a scoop of peanut butter and some homemade peanut butter granola. Or a waffle with peanut butter banana and chia seeds. 🙂 There is a theme here… Oh how I love peanut butter!

    My favorite healthy snacks are greek yogurt with fresh fruit, or hummus & spinach sandwiches. sounds gross but chock full of protein!

    I am in college, so all my favorite snacks have to be dorm-friendly and easy to prepare. Right now, I am loving 94% FF 100 cal packs of popcorn, handful of almonds or fruit (taken from the dining hall!) with some almond butter.

    Someone mentioned frozen grapes. Yes! I eat them every day while we’re fixing dinner so I don’t snack on the stuff we’re making. Also, we currently have a huge jar of marinated artichoke hearts that won’t see Monday morning.

    My favorite healthy snack is a banana mashed up with peanut butter, zapped in the microwave for 30 seconds or so, and topped with some cacao powder. Easy and delicious, plus a chocolate fix too!

    greek yogurt with banana slices microwaved for a minute (my bff came up with this– the lazy alternative to grilling bananas), chopped nuts/ nut butter, and drizzled honey!
