Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Wow, great giveaway! Do I get extra points if I say popcorn? Seriously, there are too many good ones to choose from. My go-to snack is usually a handful of almonds, or a scoop of natural peanut butter or a piece of fruit. As a busy mama to 4, grab and go snacks work best for me.

I call it “Smores in a bowl”. I have this most nights as a dessert. Vanilla yogurt + 1 frozen chocolate pudding cup + 2 tablespoons of fluff + handful of golden graham cereal (whole foods has a healthier version called 3 sisters graham cracker cereal which I use). So good!!!

Okay so two favorite healthy snacks…
sweet: sliced apple 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp cashew butter, 2 tbsp almond milk nuked for 45 sec and stirred to perfection!
savory: hummus, greek yogurt, cayenne pepper, hot sauce all mixed up w/celery carrots and pretzels!
Cheerios and skim milk.
