Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    I am an absolute sucker for an old favorite, celery and peanut butter. We’ve had a love affair for years! Now, thanks to stumbling across the “better’n butter” brand, I am able to feel like I’m REALLY treating myself with a much healthier option :). I actually just finished a stalk with 2 tablespoons of the chocolate variety! YUM

    Definitely greek yogurt (especially Chobani pineapple) with granola. I could eat yogurt all day long and not get tired of it!

    So hard to choose since I love my healthy snacks. I love a good Gala Apple and 1/2 of serving of almonds as my afternoon snack. I love to alternate bites between the two. Yum.

    My favorite healthy snack is raw trailmix full of nuts, seeds, and raisins! I could eat it by the bucketfull! Probably not so healthy if I don’t practice some self-control! Woops. 😉

    I just found your blog and now read everyday! My favorite snack is roasted chickpeas w/ cajun seasoning right out of the oven. I burn my tongue every time, haha

    Love your blog and check it daily! My favorite healthy snack is a brown rice cake with a little bit of The Bee’s Knees White Chocolate Wonderful peanut butter on top 🙂 Fuji apples are a go to as well!

    um, what a giveaway! And I could eat pizza over and over and over again… BUT my favorite healthy snack is definitely a sliced up apple (I eat one almost every day!), and also Greek yogurt with some blueberries on top!!!
