Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.
The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!
Lunch
On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.
When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.
We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.
I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.
Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.
You can never have enough of the good stuff!

It’s a tie between carrot sticks dipped in Trader Joe’s edamame hummus and popcorn covered in Bragg’s liquid aminos and nutritional yeast. Guilt-free saltiness–yay!

Normally, I’m a apple-and-peanut-butter kind of girl, but lately I’ve been craving a LOT of air-popped popcorn!
I love green monster smoothies (if I’m extra hungry around snack time) or, my latest favorite, jicama tossed with lime juice, cayenne and salt…yummy!
I’m a gluten-free (not by choice) vegetarian (by choice) so much of what I can eat is limited. My favorite healthy snack though is probably a really sweet orange. Good oranges are possibly the best thing on the planet.
