Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    Peanut butter!!! It’s the ultimate power food and keeps me full for 5+ hrs. It’s my marathon and adventure race go-to fuel.

    My go to snack after work is crackers topped with whatever cheese I have in the house (last week Bree, this week Gouda ) n my homemade raspberry peach jam. Yum!

    my parents passed down their (ancient) air popper when I went away to college 5 years ago and since then, that has been my very favorite snack (and sometimes meal). I love to dip air popcorn in Frank’s hot sauce or sriracha. So spicy and satisfying!

    I actually love 100 calorie bags of popcorn with a tablespoon or two of canola oil poured on top; it tastes like movie theater popcorn, but healthier!

    An apple & peanut butter is definitely my go-to, but lately some carrot sticks & greek yogurt mixed with a little Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning is the winner!
