Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    Unsalted pistachios although sometimes I’ll cheat a little with the lightly salted ones. Always in the shell because it slows me down and I realize quicker when I’m satisfied. Please, please let mebe the winner! I have such Lululemon envy!

    Chobani is really my go to snack right now. But lately I have been eating a lot of those “Cuties” (mandarins) because they are in season right now. So easy to peel and so sweet! Keeps me out of the candy jar!

    My favorite healthy snack is a chocolate peppermint milkshake made with: unsweetened almond milk, chocolate whey protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, peppermint extract, ice, and xanthan gum. It tastes like dessert but is super healthy!

    My favorite snack is cereal with chocolate pudding and peanut butter instead of milk. I can’t stop at one bowl! Cereal is my achilles heal.

    Plain, non-fat Greek Yogurt with raspberries! Yum! Plus I get a nice punch o’ protein from the yogurt to keep me full. 🙂

    Natural peanut butter and a banana on a whole wheat tortilla. A tex-mex-ified version of a peanut butter and a banana sandwich. 🙂

    Definitely a green smoothie. I typically make it with spinach, frozen pineapple, fresh squeezed oj, blueberries, a banana and a splash of water. So good!
