Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    I love mixing chopped apples or blueberries into a cup of plain greek yogurt with a little bit (or a lot) of cinnamon!

    My favorite healthy snack is either Greek yogurt mixed with bananas and a variety of berries or a slice of whole wheat bread topped with generous serving of PB with bananas or apples 🙂

    A mixture of raw peanuts and sunflower seeds drizzled with a bit of honey makes for a delicious and simple snack.

    First off, I LOVE your blog! And secondly I would have to say that cereal (current obsession-pb multigrain cherrios mixed with chocolate cherrios!) is a go-to snack for me but I also love honeycrisp apples and pb yogurt dip ( 1 container plain 0% greek yogurt and 1 tbsp. PB2 powdered peanut butter)!!!! <3

    Oh wow this is the greatest giveaway 🙂 my favorite would have to be fage strawberry Greek yogurt – but also loveeeee whole wheat crackers topped with goat cheese and apple butter as a not as healthy, but not terrible, snack !

    Hands down, my favorite healthy snack is raw veggies (carrots, cucumbers, green peppers, etc) and shelled pistachios! The veggies are bulky to help to create that full feeling while the pistachios slow me down since I have to de-shell them and their little bit of protein helps to keep me going! yummmm

    favorite healthy snack is a cut up apple dipped in plain greek yogurt with lots of cinnamon. so filling and full of fiber and protein 🙂

    Not sure I could call it a snack since I eat it everyday at 2:00 – and again in the evenings on occasion –
    Orville Redenbacher smart pop. delicious!!

    Love your Sadie – we have a Vizsla also – Miles, he is my running partner and it sounds like they are exactly alike 🙂 Love my Vizlsa !!
