Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    My favorite healthy snack is frozen bananas blended with a little almond milk and peanut butter. It satisfies my sweet tooth and curbs my craving for ice cream

    i love granola, but i ALWAYS overdo it. so i guess my favorite snack is puffins cereal in soy milk with berries!

    I cannot choose just one! First, I love blending up all-fruit smoothies. I also just discovered snap pea crisps..I’m not sure if they constitute as being a “healthy snack,” but there’s a vegetable in the name; so hey, why not? 🙂 I also love hummus with grape tomatoes or with hummus with lavash bread..yummm

    Love greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries and granola…especially if it’s the last of the yogurt- I dump everything inside the plastic container and just grab a spoon! Yum 🙂

    My favorite healthy snack would have to be a granny smith apple! Or baby carrots! I have also been trying to eat more yogurt even tho I am not a huge fan of it!

    I absolutely LOVE peanut butter and I like eating it with veggies (especially celery) for the perfect afternoon snack. But really, peanut butter at any time of day is amazing :).
