Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    My favorite snack would probably be carrots and hummus – I just never get sick of it, especially with all the hummus varieties! I also just love a crisp apple topped with some almond butter… mmm… By the way, this giveaway is AMAZING!!!

    1/2 cup greek yogi, 1/4 cup 1% cottage cheese, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey, 4 or 5 blackberries. Toss those in the magic bullet and Ta-DA! O and how can I forget, a handful of crunchy granola cereal mixed in!

    I’ve just started making smoothies in a bowl and they are my new favorite! Especially with frozen spinach- I’m seriously amazed at how I can’t taste it!

    I love healthy snacking so it’s hard for me to just pick one… :/ This may be boring, but I would say: fruit! I always have it lying around, washed up amd cut up, ready to go! 🙂

    My NEW fave snack is a wedge of laughing cow cheese mixed with some Miller’s sweet and spicy mustard and spread on a few whole wheat crackers! Yum!!

    I travel in and out of the US all the time, and can’t always find healthy snacks (easily) in the countries I visit- so I always carry almonds and dried apricots!

    I recently went gluten free, so I had to redivide some of my fave snacks. Right now I love GF rice cakes with almond butter and some sharp cheese.
