Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    My fav health snacks are: yogurt, nuts, and i’m a popcorn FREAK. Ive never met a popcorn I dislike… yep, that includes eating it plain and even burnt. lol

    I love popcorn with a bit of parm cheese for a salty snack, and Greek yogurt with your pb granola on top for a sweet snack! Frozen mango chunks are also a new fave!

    i have 2 go-to healthy snacks- lowfat cottage cheese with jam and almonds OR greek yogurt with a scoop of cocoa powder and some chocolate protein powder mixed together!

    Greek Yogurt with fruit and granola (or cereal!) the only snack that truly holds me over for a couple of hours! obviously with a couple of peanut butter fingers while i’m preparing it because heaven forbid i don’t eat for the 25 seconds it takes to do so! 🙂

    My favorite healthy snack is a tie between a hot cocoa (what??? ) or an apple. Depends on what I’m craving at the moment. If I’m looking for more savory, I like string cheese. Thanks for hosting!!

    Holy moley, a lot of people responded with delicious snacks! My emergency go-to snack has been cocoa roasted almonds- so filling and tasty! I’ve also been keeping some hard boiled eggs in the fridge for a little protein boost when needed!

    Love some raw veggies dipped in almond butter or my homemade protein bars (protein powder+egg whites+pumpkin baked up into bars) soo satisfying for a sweet or crunchy craving 🙂

    My favorite healthy snack is definitely Chobani greek yogurt! I love the thick creaminess of the 2% varieties. I also love popcorn as a filling snack, but I hate the looks I get when I pop it at 3pm in the office haha!
