Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    hmm favorite healthy snack is a lara bar, apple or other fruit, greek yogurt, or some nuts. i keep meaning to buy popcorn bc its delcioussss and i know its healthy. sounds good right about now. awesome giveaway!

    I have a few favorite healthy snacks!! I’ve never been good at definitive statements :))

    Rosemary Roasted Almonds
    Celery with a wedge of Blue Cheese Laughing Cow cheese and a couple shakes of Franks Red Hot Sauce
    A whole wheat mini bagel thin, cream cheese, a slice or two of tomato sprinkled with pepper and a few basil leaves

    If I am in the mood for ‘ice cream’ I will blend up frozen banana, a little PB and a tsp of cocca powder. SO GOOD!
    Other then that I am an apple and PB fan.

    I love yogurt with granola. Or fruit. Sometimes nuts, love cocoa or cinnamon sugar almonds, but definitely have to be in the mood for those.

    I’m a sucker for a Granny Smith apple smothered in nut butter! I usually stick with peanut butter, but I recently discovered that chocolate hazelnut is equally addicting 🙂

    My favorite snack is an apple with almond butter, but my trick is to heat the almond butter up for 15 seconds in the microwave. Just heating it up a little makes it an amazing treat!!!
