Bernie Salazar Interview + Giveaway

Ryan, Sadie and I spent the remainder of our morning on a 3.5 mile hike on our favorite bear, alligator and snake-laden trails.

The wildlife we saw on today’s walk was limited to squirrels and lizards. Vicious beasts!

Lunch

On our way home from the trails, we ran a few errands and grabbed the necessary ingredients for homemade pizza. I think Ryan was a little jealous of my delicious looking veggie pizza from last night and he was craving pizza this afternoon.

When we arrived home, we prepared a pizza topped with spinach, pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian chicken sausage and avocado.

We didn’t add the avocado until the pizza came out of the oven because we were unsure how it would hold up in 475-degree heat.

I ate three slices of the pizza along with a sliced apple.

Even after eating pizza two times in less than 24 hours, I feel like I could easily eat it again for dinner tonight.

You can never have enough of the good stuff!

Bernie Salazar Interview + Snack Smart Giveaway

    My all time favorite healthy snack is fresh air popped popcorn with a drizzle of peanut flour sauce and a dash of cinnamon in the freezer for 20 minutes. Yummmm… A little piece of heaven 🙂

    My favorite snack is either carrots and hummus or apple and peanut butter. So delicious!

    I also LOVE popcorn, but let’s be honest, I usually end up making that dinner because once I pop a bag, I HAVE to finish it! 😉

    My favorite healthy snack would have to be a smoothie! I usually add yogurt, orange juice, and an assortment of fruits (usually lots of blueberries!) and blend it up in my knock-off magic bullet. Super easy and satisfying 🙂

    I love microwaving a sliced apple with cinnamon for 2 minutes then digging in! It’s like apple pie filling!

    My healthy snack is a tie between a new favorite which is apple slices dipped in peanut better (yum!!) and an old favorite which is baby carrots in hummus!

    My favorite go-to snack lately is Stonyfield’s BaNilla yogurt with peanut butter granola mixed in… So good! We also made your honey peanut butter granola last week and loved it! 🙂

    there are so many healthy snacks i love to switch up every morning and afternoon, but lately i’ve been on a big veggie & hummus kick, as well as bananas & pb 🙂 now i’m just getting hungry…
