CALIA by Carrie Underwood (Giveaway!)

March 5, 2015 by Julie 2,173 Comments

This post is sponsored by CALIA by Carrie Underwood. I truly appreciate your support surrounding sponsored posts like the one you will find below. While the post is sponsored, I am personally sponsoring the giveaway. Hope you love the new apparel!

Did you guys know Carrie Underwood is launching a fitness clothing line!?

Calia by Carrie Underwood

Her new line of fitness apparel, CALIA, is debuting today and will be available at DICK’S Sporting Goods stores nationwide. As someone who basically lives in gym clothes and as a big-time Carrie Underwood fan, I jumped at the chance to try out a few items from CALIA and have nothing but good things to say about the quality, style and functionality the clothing.

I was challenged to take some items from Calia and transform them from “studio to street.” I had so much fun playing around in my closet!

From Barre to Errands Around Town…

The first look I came up with features a Barre to Errands Around Town look!

Calia Tank

For the barre workout, I paired a CALIA by Carrie Underwood Seamless Tank with a strappy black sports bra, black leggings and sneakers (for walking to and from the studio). This look easily transitions into a street look by adding boots, a colorful clutch, casual jacket and a beanie! I figured this would be a look I could wear after a barre workout to run around town since a lightweight tank and leggings are both items I frequently wear to my Pure Barre classes. A pair of boots, a denim jacket and a beanie are simple items you can easily throw on post-workout, so this look is a breeze!

Calia by Carrie Underwood Tank

The beanie is key for hiding “ponytail hair.” Haha!

Calia Carrie Underwood Fitness Apparel

A quick note about this tank: The tank has ruching along the sides that allow you to choose how long  you want it to be – you can bunch it up or pull it down over your hips for additional coverage, which is how I chose to wear the tank since I have a such a long torso (and a growing baby bump)! I also love how it comes up a little higher on the neckline, which I appreciate from a modesty standpoint since I teach a lot of Spinning classes where I feel like I am bending over the handlebars of a bike!

From the Gym to Brunch…

The second look features the same comfy ruched CALIA Essential Tank but incorporates my absolute favorite item I had the chance to try from the new line: The Effortless Dip Dye Cocoon Sweater.

Calia by Carrie Underwood (2)

The gym look shown above is super comfy and features the CALIA Seamless Tank, CALIA Effortless Dip Dye Cocoon Sweater, CALIA Effortless French Terry Capri and sneakers.

It easily transitions into a brunch look by swapping out the sweatpants and sneakers for a pair of skinny jeans and flip flops!

Calia by Carrie Underwood Sweater

But back to that sweater… The CALIA Effortless Dip Dye Cocoon Sweater is super long in the back (great if you’re wearing leggings!) and the material is incredibly soft and breathable. It’s the perfect springtime studio cover up that also translates well to out-of-the-gym looks, like this one I put together for a weekend brunch with girlfriends.

Calia by Carrie Underwood Sweater and Top

I paired the tank and cardigan with with skinny jeans, flip flops, an oversize clutch and a gold necklace and threw my hair in a loose braid for a quick and simple gym-to-lunch look.

I had a blast putting these outfits together and hope you enjoyed a little sneak peek into the new CALIA by Carrie Underwood fitness apparel line!

Giveaway

Just in case you would like to purchase some new CALIA apparel for yourself, I am offering one PBF reader a $150 gift card to DICK’S Sporting Goods so you can shop for your own CALIA outfit!

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below, telling me about two new workout apparel items you’d buy with the gift card. Do you need a new workout tank? A comfy pair of leggings? Let me know!

I will randomly select a winner tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

I’m always looking for tanks that are a good length (over the hips!) for any type of workout I may do – think jumping, running, stretching, lifting… etc. as well as fitted but not overly tight… is that too much to ask? The Seamless Tank looks as though it fulfills those qualities!

The Effortless Dip Dye Cocoon Sweater is just up my alley! I love drapey sweaters like that – they’re perfect in the studio over a tank while I’m teaching, and then back at the office paired with a cute necklace and jeans — a look that’s a lot like the one you put together! I love looks that are effortless since I’m often changing back and forth a lot between jobs – it’s a perfect piece!

So, those are the two items I would pick 🙂

I’m 28 weeks preggo (congrats on baby PBF!!!), so I will need some cute new gym clothes to keep me motivated during the last trimester!! I’d probably go with a new sports bra (since my size is ever changing…get ready) and capris.

Definitely some new tanks! If the capri’s come with a wider calf opening, I’d be all about those too! I am not a fan of the tight leggings look on my body frame.

I teach 7 fitness classes a week and am always doing laundry. Never hurts to have more workout gear in the line-up! 🙂

All those outfit combos look adorable on you, by the way!

Plus, you can never have too many longer sweaters. These would both transition well into warmer spring weather!

Hi Julie! I would use it for my 14 year old daughter who really wants to get in shape for summer, and I know the exact three items she would buy with it. We went into Dicks tonight (having no idea Carrie even had a line and that it just debuted!) She picked out a beautiful Calia outfit – the Essential Printed Panel Capris – Classical Floral and the tank to match it and the gray sweater with the finger holes. She said it would make her feel pretty at the gym. Would be an amazing start to her weight loss journey. Your an inspiration – You look beautiful in all of them!

First, I know I stalk a lot and don’t comment, but I just wanted to say congratulations on the baby! My little one is 14 months and I don’t think I will ever forget the excitement of learning I was pregnant and the magic of carrying her for all those months. It’s stressful, but also amazing.

I love the cocoon sweater, and would probably get some tights also because you can never have enough of those!

I would go for the beanie because it’s so cute and even the gym can be so cold this time of the year and the leggings! You can never have too many pair and they are great for work-outs and then a loose sweater to throw over to head out to breakfast or lunch! 🙂

I would buy the CALIA by Carrie Underwood Women’s Double Layer Keyhole Back Tank Top, it seems soo versatile. If I am doing hot yoga, going for a run, and taking a class this tank would allow me to move freely and feel confident as it is not too tight and form fitting.

I would also love to own the CALIA by Carrie Underwood Women’s Effortless Dip Dye Cocoon Sweater. I think it would be perfect to throw on before or after a workout when running errands all over town. You know we all stay super busy, we might as well look nice doing it while still having time to throw a workout in there 🙂
