While I’m en route to Savannah, I thought you guys might be interested in participating in an awesome giveaway, featuring tons of amazing items from Chavrie and Crate & Barrel.

The Holiday Sweet Treats with Chavrie giveaway is coming at you courtesy of Chavrie, the company that makes some fantastic goat cheese that is great in a variety of recipes, including dessert recipes like crème brulee, shortbread cookies, or maple goat cheese dip!

I’ve used the delicious goat cheese in numerous recipes, including:

Goat Cheese and Butternut Squash Barley Risotto

What recipe featuring goat cheese would you most like to try? I would LOVE to try your butternut squash risotto. It loooks tastey and I love butternut squash. I made a recipe by Giada from the Foodnetwork once; it was butternut squash, bow tie pasta, basil, goat cheese and walnuts…it was so good and the flavors are perfect together. I ate most of it.

If I won the Holiday Sweet Treats with Chavrie the recipe I would make first would be the Cherry Bread Pudding. I am a sucker for bread pudding to begin with, and with goat cheese and cherries married together; I might make that this weekend! A perfect holiday dessert or brunch item!

Thank you and good luck in Savannah!!!

For years I thought I was lactose-intolerant because dairy would just make me sick…that was until I discovered that my body could digest goat’s dairy! LIFE CHANGING, I use goat cheese in everything but I am most excited this season for a goat cheese/pumpkin pie I love making with a little coconut milk whipped cream. Take that cows milk!

This is very topical, as I have a bunch of goat cheese that needs to be used (the downside of having a goat cheese vendor at my farmer’s market)! I made some delicious goat cheese pumpkin whoopie pies last week, but it would have never occurred to me to use goat cheese to make shortbread, so I’d try that!
