Completely Enthralled

December 20, 2011 by Julie 63 Comments

Wanna know how you know when you’re completely enthralled with a book?

When you have to get out of the house and leave the book behind to resist the temptation to drop everything and read.

Take me to Starbucks and get me away from The Violets of March!

The book was calling to me to abandon my projects and simply read the day away, so I called Ryan after lunch and convinced him to meet me at Starbucks for a quick midday date and brought my laptop to get to work after we enjoyed our festive beverages.

Peppermint mocha for me, chai crème Frappuccino for Ryan!

Doesn’t he look all Christmasy in his red polo?

Lunch

Before our date, I made myself a cheesy quesadilla with onion and kidney beans.

I’m trying to use up everything in the fridge before we head to our parents’ houses for Christmas and this quesadilla incorporated some cheese and onions on the verge of death. Expect some random meals in the near future, my friends.

Question of the Afternoon

  • What was the last book that completely captivated you?

The last book that completely sucked me in was Divergent. If you liked The Hunger Games, you need to read Divergent!

P.S. The Fashion page was updated today.

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I usually get into ALL of my books. If I’m not that “into” it and think about reading it when I’m not, I will stop reading it because there are too many good books out there to waste my reading time on something that isn’t “wow’ing” me!

I’m having that problem with the entire Harry Potter series! It’s the first time I’ve read them and I’ve had to use all that I can to stop myself from reading all day everyday, so I get it!
