Cozy Night In

June 27, 2011 by Julie 77 Comments

This evening is quite dreary in Orlando. All poor Sadie wants to do it play outside, but the never-ending rain is hindering her plans.

At least the rain makes for a cozy night in… watching The Bachelorette! Smile

A cozy night in requires warm food. I love one-bowl meals for easy, peasy dinners that have a lot of flavor.

Tonight’s meal included smoked turkey sausages, sautéed onions and steamed broccoli.

On the side we also enjoyed warm, freshly-baked muffins that I made while experimenting in the kitchen this afternoon as part of a freelance project I’m working on.

Recipe to come tomorrow! Smile

I’m off to watch The Bachelorette and the Bentley-Ashley reunion. I have a feeling I’m going to want to kick Bentley in the balls while simultaneously wishing I could give Ashley some balls. Balls!

See ya on the PBF Facebook page for some Bachelorette discussions tonight or tomorrow morning (depending on the intensity of the episode and whether or not we can contain ourselves). Oh, and I love JP. And Ames must have dentures. Holy grill.

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Saw on a sidebar ad that livestrong.com is hiring nutrition writers. Sounds like something up your ally!

OK my friends and I have a theory on Ames… I think he has a narrow nose, which makes it difficult for him to breathe through his nose; therefore, he is a mouth-breather. That’s why he has the SAME expression on his face every time the camera pans to him… because he is breathing through his mouth! Bless his heart… he seems very nice, but I’m ready for him to go! 😛

Wah 🙁 It used to be soooo rainy over the last few days but recently it’s gotten better.

I FREAKING LOVE JP. She has to marry him. And I agree. Ames is adorable, but come on…those teeth?! Beautiful, but fake-looking.

The Bachelorette is so intense this season! I’m afraid she’s not going to end up with anyone!

I love how the guys were being so dramatic tonight! So many “Bentley”s and tears… I love that they’re touring Asia though 🙂

Hi, Julie! I’m a new reader (with an even newer blog, so it’s kind of boring so far, but I figured I’d post the link anyway) but I had to comment and say I totally laughed out loud at the “Ames must have dentures” comment. Hahah! So true. He is such a sweetie though : )

    Love JP and Ben.

And if she talks about Bentley one more time, even in the context of how good she feels now that he’s gone, I will scream! lol

I love one pot wonders! I tried the clams, marinara, spinach and pasta–loved it–topped with parm of course. On pot wonders are the only way to go with a busy family! I do still like to see each food item I am eating–not casserole like. AND I just happen to have the three ingredients you used on hand–so we will just see! Also I tried some PB2 overnight oatmeal. I likey–especially with a little regular pb added in the a.m. Glad to hear you have such a great middle name. I love your blog–love it–so fresh, so simple. so YOU! Elizabeth

JP of goodness, she’s crazy if she doesn’t fall for him. Such. A. Hottie….. inside and out it seems. Bentley should sit in the corner and think about what he’s done…

I have seriously had enough of Ashley rambling on about Bentley. She says his name at least a thousand times each episode. Hopefully now since he is officially gone, she won’t need to mention him anymore. I am all for Ashley with JP! I think he is beyond sweet and cute! I am getting annoyed with Ryan. Something is definitely off with him. I like Ben too. I think they have good chemistry. 🙂 I agree with you on Ames teeth! What is going on there?! Haha.

I loved how Ashley ‘comforted’ the guys at the rose ceremony, saying something along the lines of “I have such stronger feels for you guys than I ever had for Bentley”.

hahaha – She STILL doesn’t get it! Enough with the Bentley talk!
