Cyber Monday Savings

November 26, 2012 by Julie 68 Comments

Good afternoon!

Have any of you guys taken advantage of Cyber Monday savings today? I bought Ryan one little stocking stuffer and got free shipping. Not exactly the kind of savings you write home about, but I’ll take it!

Fun fact: Shoppers are expected to spend more than $1.5 billion dollars today. Yeesh.

I spent my morning catching up on work before taking a break to eat lunch and browse the internet for Cyber Monday deals.

chicken salad with corn and avocado

Today’s lunchtime salad included:

  • Spring mix
  • 1 ear raw sweet corn
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Shredded carrot
  • Leftover chicken
  • Bolthouse Farms yogurt Caesar dressing

My goodness this was a good salad! The avocado and corn stole the show.

Question of the Afternoon

  • Do you take advantage of sales on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
  • Did you find any good deals today? Please share!

I’ve done the whole Black Friday shopping thing a few times but prefer to look for good deals from the comfort of my own home on Cyber Monday. Less lines and less craziness!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I went a little crazy today with my shopping. Even though I work for Barneys New York I do most, if not all, of my shopping online. Yikes!

I went out and got a few things over the weekend, but I definitely prefer shopping from the couch in sweats! And you inspired me to have a salad for dinner – after last weekend, it tasted AMAZING.

No Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping for me, but I was out on Thanksgiving day and got a bunch of stay dry workout shirts and tanks at $5-7 EACH at Wal-Mart!

Did you manage to find any good black flats? These are my go-to ones, never found anything more comfortable. Not sure if you have office in the US? http://www.office.co.uk/womens/office/cecilia_toecap_ballerina/30/5328/14545/1?fs=5328

Victoria’s Secret! My head was spinning by the time I used all of the promo codes! I knocked a few people off my Christmas list and managed to get a few things for myself! Win Win! 🙂

I know some people who LIVE for Black Friday, but I just can’t do it. I think I’d get way too overwhelmed with the crowds and the “rush” of the whole thing. I’d end up hiding in a clothes rack like Rachel in that Friends episode when they’re trying to find Monica a wedding dress.

I had to work Black Friday 11 pm-11 am! People were crazy. Once I’m done working retail, I don’t think I’ll ever shop Black Friday. It’s just not worth it, and it’s not fair to the retail workers who don’t get to spend Thanksgiving with their family.

Howdy this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to
know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

[…] Bolthouse Farms dressing is amazing! I ran across it at Winco this weekend, and remembered Julie saying it was really good. I also picked up the salsa ranch flavor, but wasn’t as impressed. […]
