Dinner for an 8-Year-Old

August 8, 2010 by Julie 24 Comments

Dinner tonight was fit for an 8-year-old.

pbj 001

I enjoyed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich made with Skippy Natural peanut butter and Polaner blueberry fruit spread.

I cut my pb&j into triangles to really hammer-home the childhood theme of this dinner. 😀

On the side I enjoyed a cup of fresh blueberries and a small bowl of Smartfood white cheddar popcorn.

Ryan and I wanted to keep dinner nice and simple tonight because he is still in bachelor cruise-recovery mode and I’m enjoying layin’ around on the couch with him since I missed his handsome face!

I have a feelin’ we’ll be hittin’ the hay a little early tonight.

Oh, and just FYI for all you JTT fans out there, Man of the House is on right now. 😉

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Aww the pb&j is soooo cute!!!! I have a serious addiction to anything peanut buttery and/or chocolatey!!=D Half the time I don’t even bother with the jelly and just have a pb sandwich……..or pb and apple……….or pb and banana, you get the picture. Anyway, I LOVE this blog and first started reading it because of the fact that it’s got peanut butter in the name =D

Sometimes simple dinners are the best!! Also, you had your sandwich on a sandwich thin. That makes it a bit more adult 😀

Oh yum I love peanut butter and jelly. After seeing a pic of it I am really tempted to make one. They’re so delicious. Especially since I’m a college student, I’ll be making them all the time.

    Hi Julie!
Just wanted to say that my mom and I made your pancakes made with greek yogurt. We added in some fresh Maine blueberries too. Delish! Keep those recipes coming! 🙂

Oooh, I forgot to add: I’m curious about your protein mix that you add to your smoothies and recipes. Maybe a little tutorial on the purpose/benefits of it??? I’m not up to speed on that sort of thing. Thanks!

Would it be wrong if I said I still had my JTT posters on my wall? No I’m just kidding! But for real I for sure used to have posters of him and Devon Sawa when I was younger!
