Energy Expender

May 31, 2011 by Julie 69 Comments

After work today this little lady demanded attention… and a lot of it!

dog park 008

The dog park was the only activity I could think of that would allow Sadie to sprint around and expend the energy that was coursing through her scrawny little body.

dog park 011 I think she liked the plan.

dog park 016

Since it was 90 degrees outside, Sadie spent the majority of our time at the park in the lake.

dog park 019Once we were done frolicking around, we headed home for dinner.

But first… appetizers!

dog park 027

What? McDonald’s vanilla soft serve cones make fantastic appetizers.

Dinner

The cone did a great job of warding off hunger until dinner was ready.

dog park 030

Baked salmon and roasted kale filled up my belly in no time at all.

dog park 034

A glass of red wine was also enjoyed.

dog park 036

Time to relax!

Tomorrow is a BIG day. Stay tuned for major announcement in the morning!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Mmm, I do love a cone from Mickey D’s. Looks delish!

I wish my dog would run around at the dog park. She has a small problem wherein she hates other dogs (she loves people, though!). She likes to pretend she is the only dog in NYC and gets very upset when she sees evidence to the contrary. Visits to the dog park do not end well.

Enjoy the rest of your night!

Doggies are such a great way to force us to exercise – definitely one of the many benefits of having one!

That salmon looks delicious, I love seafood and am so ready to start grilling fish once the weather here gets a bit nicer.

How do you keep Sadie so clean? Sometimes I don’t take my dog to the park b/c I dread how dirty she gets and giving her a bath is such a production. Would love any suggestions!

we’re actually lucky in that sadie has really short hair and doesn’t get too dirty. that being said, we always keep towels in the car and let her get try before toweling her off so sand and dirt rubs off.

Love mcd’s soft serve cones! I just got done looking at all your weekend pics. Looks like a good time. Its so crazy in one of the pics where your wearing your fishy shirt the other girl in the pic looks like a girl I use to be friends with Olivia. I’m sure its not her but we both lived in GA and after 4th grade she moved to FL and I moved clear across the nation on the west coast. We stayed in touch for awhile but as we got older we lost touch. It would be so neat if it were her.
