Energy Expender

May 31, 2011 by Julie 69 Comments

After work today this little lady demanded attention… and a lot of it!

dog park 008

The dog park was the only activity I could think of that would allow Sadie to sprint around and expend the energy that was coursing through her scrawny little body.

dog park 011 I think she liked the plan.

dog park 016

Since it was 90 degrees outside, Sadie spent the majority of our time at the park in the lake.

dog park 019Once we were done frolicking around, we headed home for dinner.

But first… appetizers!

dog park 027

What? McDonald’s vanilla soft serve cones make fantastic appetizers.

Dinner

The cone did a great job of warding off hunger until dinner was ready.

dog park 030

Baked salmon and roasted kale filled up my belly in no time at all.

dog park 034

A glass of red wine was also enjoyed.

Time to relax!

Tomorrow is a BIG day. Stay tuned for major announcement in the morning!

When I was prego (3 weeks ago) the WORST part (on one day, on another there’d be another worst part) about eating during pregnancy was NO RED VINO with my salmon. DEPRESSING.

I am in love with the last pic of Sadie you posted…she looks like she has a HUGE smile on her face! 🙂 I agree that soft serve ice cream from McDonald’s makes a great appetizer, and you can’t beat the $1 price!

Could you please post the cooking instructions and recipe you used for the baked salmon? It looks delish! I recently discovered an AWESOME glaze for salmon called Kona Coast Paradise Pineapple Teriyaki. You should try it!

My mother in law eats one of those ice creams from McDonald’s each and every day. There are two McDonald’s in her town so she rotates so they won’t know.
