Good morning! I hope you guys are enjoying a fabulous weekend!

Between the SHINE Women’s Conference on Thursday and Friday and my AFAA Group Exercise Certification course yesterday, I feel like I haven’t had much computer time with you guys! Friday was the final day of SHINE and we all agreed that it was fabulous. On Thursday night they opened with “Oh Happy Day!” and I basically freaked out. That song is so fabulous.

SHINE was the first Christian women’s conference I’ve ever attended and I have only good things to say about it. I am still very much growing in my personal journey and am glad I was able to attend the conference with my mom and sister and my sister’s boyfriend’s mom and sister. We had such a warm group and I loved listening to the various speakers with such kind, loving women.

Yesterday I spent the day at an AFAA Group Exercise Certification workshop and will know the results from the practical and written exams within four to six weeks. I think it went really well and I’ll be sure to share more about the experience on the blog soon.

And now I have something to share with you guys that I think many of you will  enjoy, especially those of you who are on the go a lot, don’t have a gym membership or prefer to work out at home.

FitnessGlo

In between the conference sessions on Friday, we had a two-hour break and since were all feeling a little antsy from sitting for most of the day, we decided to do an at-home workout. I plugged my computer into the television and my sister and I spent some time on the FitnessGlo website selecting a workout we thought we all might enjoy from the various videos available on the site.

I first learned about FitnessGlo through a partnership with FitFluential and was immediately impressed with the workout videos on the site. There are tons! (Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are 100 percent my own. I loved this site!)

FitnessGlo is a website created for women by women with busy women in mind. The website features workout videos with varying intensities from level one (On My Way) to level three (Good to Glo). Their videos last anywhere from five to 45 minutes, so they’re perfect for on-the-go women who might only have a small amount of time to squeeze in a quick workout before work.

We decided to try Ilyse Baker’s barre workout because I already knew I liked her teaching style since I’ve taken a dance class with her before at the Reebok headquarters last year.

Her energy is contagious without being annoying. She’s motivating but lets you know she’s feeling the burn, too!

The workout lasted 30 minutes and we were engaged the entire time.

We started sweating and definitely felt the burn! My sister and I liked it so much that we decided to try another 30-minute video immediately after the barre workout. We selected Amy Dixon’s Cardio Athletic workout which included lots of intervals. It was right up my alley!

I loved the format of the workout and the way Amy took us through several exercises for 30, 60 and 90 second bursts of intense cardio. My sister and I were super sweaty by the end of this workout! Amy was awesome… and kind of looks like Laura Prepon from That ‘70s Show to me a little bit! I’m also hoping to pitch a similar class to my boss at the gym because I think it could be a hit in a group exercise format. 

The site makes it easy to sort through videos by duration, workout type, instructor and level.

    I’d love to try a Barre workout as I’ve always been curious to try them! It is coming into winter here so doing workouts at home is so much more appealing than going to the gym 🙂

    Not sure if I’m eligible to enter being in Australia but I’d love to if I can!

    I’d really like to try a Barre workout and also some new-to-me pilates workouts.
    My gym has about a 4 week break where no fitness classes are offered so this would be the perfect time to try this out!

    I am looking for something at home when I can’t get to the gym. My husband travels 60%of the year, and I have a 6 year old so somedays I don’t have anyone to watch her.. I have fibromyalgia and the only treatment that works for me is daily exercise.

    I’m about to start my clinical rotations all over the US and so a gym membership doesn’t make sense. I’d love something like this! Especially a barre workout!!

    I have always wanted to try a barre class but never seem to have enough time to drive to a class. I am always looking for at-home workouts since that is all I can squeeze in while I’m completing my clinical rotation this summer.

    I have 3 little ones plus I work full time so it’s hard for me to find the time to squeeze in a workout. Sounds like a great website! I would love to try a Core Strength workout!

    As a new mom, this would be perfect for me! I get my workouts in during nap time but have already blown throw my DVD exercise collection! This would help fight the boredome and definitely keep me engaged and motivated. Plus, some days I do only have 15 minutes!! Awesome giveaway!! 🙂

    I am moving soon and havent been able to find a gym I like and can afford in my new city. This would be a great opportunity for me to leep up my fitness level. I have always wanted to try barrer, but classes are so expensive! Thanks Julie!

    I would want to try Barre, and at home workouts make me more accountable to always get a workout in. If it’s rush hour and I don’t want to drive, or my schedule for work happens to be longer or during peak hours for the gym, I can still come home and workout!

    I would try the barre or any of the dance workouts. I have heard awesome things about barre workouts but cannot locate any in my area, so an at home barre workout would be perfect!! 🙂

    I have a legal clerkship this summer with very long hours, so it would be nice to be able to log in and pick a workout. I’ll definitely be signing up!

    I am moving at the end of this month and have to cancel my gym membership due to the current situation. I am a gym nut and so anxious about canceling the membership. I am in desperate need of new ways to stay motivated and work out at home/outside!!

    I’m looking for an at home workout because my first child is going to born in June and I will need access to home workouts to keep me sane after delivery : )

    I am a stay at home mom with two little girls so at home workouts are the most convenient for me. I can squeeze one in while the girls are still sleeping, playing on their own or after they go to bed.

    I have had several people recommend Barre workouts, so I would love to try one!

    I will be crunched for time between my classes this summer and shadowing R.D.’s so this would be perfect for a quick workout first thing in the morning or right before bed!

    Id love to incorporate more home workouts into my routine! I like body weight strength and some cardio in my home workouts, I used to do turbo fire all the time, those workouts were also great for at home

    I’m someone who’s just getting started with the fitness routine. I’ve plugged away hours at the gym and quickly get bored because of repetition. I think the variety of options would help for me to have some idea of what to do for different workouts.

    I’m interested in trying the Barre workouts. I’ve only heard good things about these!

    I work 4 10 hour shifts a week, and it is so hard finding the motivation to go to the gym after work when there aren’t classes that I’m interested in taking. The core strength and cardio classes are my favorite, so that’s what I would use FitnessGlo for!

    I would LOVE to try FitnessGlo! I have a two year old and I’m expecting our next. I think it would be awesome to do a workout at home before my little gets up or after she goes to bed. I also teach a fitness class three times a week and I’m all about continuing education. I’d love to see the different styles, workouts, and instructors!

    I will definitely try it out! For yoga fans Yogaglo is also a fantastic site. As a new runner I can so a short class everyday to help from being too stiff.

    I would really like to try the barre routine as I started with Pure Barre last year, but it is over an hour away from my home and there are no other barre classes available in my town. I purchased the PB DVDs but I would love to try other variations of this workout. Thanks for considering me! 🙂

    FitnessGLO sounds awesome! I am a college student so I am not rolling in money, so a cheap fitness website I can do at home or in the dorms would be incredible! Right now, I am looking at fitness that can give me all around tone and fitness with a mixture of high intensity, cardio, and weights.

    I love at home workouts! In fact I just finished a Jillian Michaels DVD about three minutes ago…they are kind of a must for me because I love working out in the morning but have to be out of the house by 7 am…and I will always choose sleep over driving to a gym.

    I’ve been wanting to try a Barre workout. I workout at home before work in the morning (super early) and would love some structure in this form of online class. I’d love to try all the different workouts to get a good fitness variety to supplement my running.
