Good morning! I hope you guys are enjoying a fabulous weekend!
Between the SHINE Women’s Conference on Thursday and Friday and my AFAA Group Exercise Certification course yesterday, I feel like I haven’t had much computer time with you guys! Friday was the final day of SHINE and we all agreed that it was fabulous. On Thursday night they opened with “Oh Happy Day!” and I basically freaked out. That song is so fabulous.
SHINE was the first Christian women’s conference I’ve ever attended and I have only good things to say about it. I am still very much growing in my personal journey and am glad I was able to attend the conference with my mom and sister and my sister’s boyfriend’s mom and sister. We had such a warm group and I loved listening to the various speakers with such kind, loving women.
Yesterday I spent the day at an AFAA Group Exercise Certification workshop and will know the results from the practical and written exams within four to six weeks. I think it went really well and I’ll be sure to share more about the experience on the blog soon.
And now I have something to share with you guys that I think many of you will enjoy, especially those of you who are on the go a lot, don’t have a gym membership or prefer to work out at home.
FitnessGlo
In between the conference sessions on Friday, we had a two-hour break and since were all feeling a little antsy from sitting for most of the day, we decided to do an at-home workout. I plugged my computer into the television and my sister and I spent some time on the FitnessGlo website selecting a workout we thought we all might enjoy from the various videos available on the site.
I first learned about FitnessGlo through a partnership with FitFluential and was immediately impressed with the workout videos on the site. There are tons! (Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are 100 percent my own. I loved this site!)
FitnessGlo is a website created for women by women with busy women in mind. The website features workout videos with varying intensities from level one (On My Way) to level three (Good to Glo). Their videos last anywhere from five to 45 minutes, so they’re perfect for on-the-go women who might only have a small amount of time to squeeze in a quick workout before work.
We decided to try Ilyse Baker’s barre workout because I already knew I liked her teaching style since I’ve taken a dance class with her before at the Reebok headquarters last year.
Her energy is contagious without being annoying. She’s motivating but lets you know she’s feeling the burn, too!
The workout lasted 30 minutes and we were engaged the entire time.
We started sweating and definitely felt the burn! My sister and I liked it so much that we decided to try another 30-minute video immediately after the barre workout. We selected Amy Dixon’s Cardio Athletic workout which included lots of intervals. It was right up my alley!
I loved the format of the workout and the way Amy took us through several exercises for 30, 60 and 90 second bursts of intense cardio. My sister and I were super sweaty by the end of this workout! Amy was awesome… and kind of looks like Laura Prepon from That ‘70s Show to me a little bit! I’m also hoping to pitch a similar class to my boss at the gym because I think it could be a hit in a group exercise format.
The site makes it easy to sort through videos by duration, workout type, instructor and level.
If you need a little push to start your routine, FitnessGlo offers an 8-week customized jump-start program and ways to track your workouts and make sure your routine includes a balance of strength, cardio and stretching.
Access to the FitessGlo website costs $12 a month, but anyone can receive a free 15-day trial. And one of you will win a free 90-day membership!
To enter this giveaway for a free 90-day FitnessGlo membership, simply comment on this post telling me why you are looking for a great at-home workout option or what type of workout video you’d be most excited to try. Barre? Core strength? Cardio dance? Let me know!
I will randomly select one winner on Monday.
Good luck!
This sounds like an amazing site! I love at-home workouts. I’m not really a gym person (plus a gym membership can be expensive) and at the end of a long work day, I want a fast and effective workout I can do in the comfort of my own home. I would mostly be interested in the cardio dance and sculpting workouts.
I would love to win! I like to have options and be able to work out at home some too!
Having a newborn and two small kids makes it hard to get to the gym as much as I’d like. I’d be interested in circuit workouts:)
I’ve always been interested in trying a barre method type of class! I’m moving overseas in September, and would love some home workout options if I don’t find a gym right away 🙂
So neat! I travel quite a bit so this would be great!! I have never done barre so I’d love to try it out 😀
Since starting my new job I’ve been working odd hours and traveling all over the place, I need an exercise option that I can do at any time, either in my living room or in a hotel room.
I think I would go for the barre workout.
I’m super busy with 2 jobs right now so I’m not finding a lot of time to get to the gym! I’d love to try the barre class!
This sounds like exactly what I need! I work, volunteer and have two small kids. Inspired by my son’s school, I have been getting 10 minute bursts of activity, but that is usually jumping jacks, running up and down my stairs or similar. I would live to mix in some other exercises. Thanks!
I haven’t been able to join a gym just yet so this would be awesome to have!
I’ve just started working after graduate school and I’ve realized that working out at home is so much easier for me after a long day at work than going to the gym, so this would be fantastic. I’d be most interested in strength workouts since I really need to work on shaping my body instead of always doing cardio 🙂
I’ve always wanted to try barre workouts! I hear they are iiiinnnntense!
This is so amazing! I would LOVE new at-home workout option to cut back on time spent traveling to and from the gym.
I actually use Yogaglo every single day! So I’d love to try this out, it seems like fun 🙂
This would be such a great option when I dont feel like getting dressed to go to the gym or even when I’m traveling. I would love to try this out mostly the barre class because I have always wanted to try but do not have one around where I live. But I also need to work on my core and am so embarrassed to work on my work at the gym (I know its silly but I am shy about this one).
I’d love to try the online membership! I’m considering getting rid of my gym one to save some moo-lah!
I would love to win a 90-day trial because in summer I travel a lot and don’t always have a lot of time to work out or access to a gym/running paths.
i would love to try this! i am attending medical school in a small town and there are not many if any fitness classes. this would be a great way to switch up my workouts without cutting too much into my study time!
I would love to be able to work out more at home, since not having the energy enough to fight my way up to the gym ( I live in a small town in Sweden that basically is like a very long hill, where the gym of course is in one end and me in the other!), sometimes is the reason I don’t work out even if I’ve planned to. If I win I’m definitely gonna explore the barrevideos, since adding dance to my workouts have been on my mind for a while now!
I would love this! It’s always nice to have options to be able to work out from home!
I’ve always been primarily a runner, but after some injuries I’ve been looking for new ways to exercise that are fun and challenging! I’d love to try this out.
I would love to win this contest because I do not have a gym membership. I am always looking for creative and good workouts that can keep me motivated at home. Sometimes coming up with workouts on my own gets difficult so it would be great to follow along with different instructors who are bound to challenge me!
I would love to try barre! I’v heard some great things and I am looking for some alternative exercise routes as I rehab from hip surgery.
I would love to add something “different” to my routine of weights, running and yoga. Thanks!
I’d be excited to try the core workouts! I push myself so much more when I have an instructor telling me what to do. When I’m by myself I often stop a lot earlier whoops!
I would love to win this contest because it provides the flexibility to work out when the kids are napping or when I’m short on time. I would love to try the circuits or barre 🙂
Work keeps me pretty busy, so these at-home workouts especially designed for women would be perfect for me!
I would love to try barre workouts! I live on a military base in a rural area, and there just aren’t many group class options. I took ballet for many years and miss it!
I am a really busy full time working mom of two and find it really hard to workout sometimes. We have a treadmill at home, but it’s so difficult to get an intense workout bc either of my kids are always asking questions or crawling over to the treadmill to “play”. Something cardio that I can do off the treadmill would be great, so neither of my kids get hurt whe I’m working out!
I use at-home workouts for those days that I don’t have time to hit the gym. I’d love to try a barre class – my sister has been raving about them but I haven’t had a chance to go myself.
I just graduated from college and am moving in a week! I have been so stressed about finding a new gym that I can afford and just haven’t found one yet. This website would be the answer to my problem! I would love to try out a barre or a high intensity cardio class!! Thanks for showing us the website!
I am a student and will be abroad in Paris next year so I will not have access to the gym like I do now. I also travel a lot and look for workouts that can be done without equipment. This website looks amazing!
I will be leaving the University of Florida and going home for the summer soon. I won’t have access to a gym at home because I don’t want to pay for a 10-week membership. Thus, I would love to try the at-home workouts, especially the barre version! 🙂
I just got my wisdom teeth out, and I’ve been lying in bed reading about these workouts, and I can’t wait to do them! I would love to do the barre workout, I’ve heard a lot about it! I’m a busy college student and I think these would be awesome for me!
Once I get to my in laws house this summer, I am going to need a new workout routine because I do not hve a gym membership in their hometown. I would use FitnessGlo all summer long. The barre and cardio workout would be right up my alley.
What a great giveaway! I would love to win this for the flexibility it offers so I can work out at home as well as the opportunity to try a bunch of different types of workouts.
Wow, This would be a blessing.
Anything really. I really need something 🙂
I would love to win because I’m a student physical therapist and constantly on the go! This site would be a helpful addition to marathon training too.
Cool giveaway! I travel for work and hotel gyms aren’t always the best. Having access to a library of workout videos that I can do in my hotel room would be awesome!

I would love to try a barre workout!
This sounds like a wonderful new way to get at home workouts in! That is something that I have been looking for! Barre and Core strength would intrigue me the most I think!
Oh man would I love this! Logistically, it is much easier to workout at home with a new baby. However, it take some serious motivation! This sounds like fun!!
Would love to try the barre!!! I get cleared next week to start working out again ( just had a baby) so I’m excited to start getting back in shape!
I would love to try the workouts with dancing involved. I was a dancer for 16 years and have wanted to get back into it. I’ve been looking for a way and this would be it for me, workouts AND dance – Perfect!!
I love switching up my at home workouts and am always looking for new ones! I have been wanting to try a Barre class so this would be a great way for me to sample before paying for the class 🙂
I’d love a site that provides a mix of workout types – cardio, strength, yoga, etc.!
That site sounds great! I would love it because I am currently marathon training and would lie to change up my cross training days with fun exercises. Also, I am traveling a lot lately so it would be great to have those workouts available when I am on the go and don’t have a hotel gym.
Working full time with a 9 month old makes short, effective workouts right up my alley!! Also, I’m primarily a runner and yogi so I would love an easy way to change it up.
I never tried Barre before so I think it would be nice to give it a go in the privacy of my home haha!
I would love to try the barre workouts!
I would love to try barre I hear all about it now!
