Five Mile Friday

Since Ryan doesn’t have to work today and I decided to skip my usual 5:45 a.m. BodyPump class in favor of attending the ol’ Pump tomorrow morning, we slept in until just before 7 a.m.

It was gloooorious and I woke up with a little extra pep in my step as we walked to the gym.

We split up we we got there, and while Ryan went off to workout his shoulders, I hopped on the treadmill for a run. I think running when you’re “in the zone” is one of the best feelings. There’s nothing like feeling totally into your run, immersed in your music, while you’re breathing hard and sweatin’ like crazy.

I credit my great five mile run to a little extra sleep and a jammin’ new playlist on my iPod. Secret: I lip sync like crazy while I’m running. I look like a complete fool and love every minute of it.

What embarrassing things do you do at the gym?

After the gym, I came home and showered up while Ryan made a hot and yummy breakfast.

Chef Ryan

Chef Ryan cooked up two large omelets with lots of mozzarella cheese.

Eggy + Cheesy

Yum!

I love that he has every other Friday off work… but I think Sadie loves it even more. She gets a buddy to play with allllll day.

Lunch Plans

Since Ryan has the day off, we have a lunch date planned. We’re meeting up at Jimmy John’s (I’m seriously obsessed with this place!) and I see roast beef and provolone cheese in my future… Yum!

    lol– I don’t sing at the gym, but when I’m running on our treadmill at home I BELT it out! I bet our neighbors can hear me, but whatever. It pumps me up 🙂

    I love Jimmy John’s as well….last year when I was pregnant I craved it daily, but never got to go b/c you’re not supposed to eat cold lunch meat while being preggo. And that is what I craved! I’m sure it wouldn’t have killed me to go, but I stuck to the rules!

    Oh I always lip sing on the treadmill! TOTALLY NORMAL! haha…sometimes I forget where I am and even throw in a few hand gestures! hehe!
