Good Workout, Unexpected

April 8, 2010 by Julie 24 Comments

Sometimes I wake up knowing I’m going to have a great workout.

Today was not one of those days… but I surprised myself and had a great one! Don’t ya love it when that happens?

I was nice and sweaty by the end of my cardio session which looked like this:

A 30 minute interval treadmill workout…

30 Minute Treadmill Workout

…Followed by 20 minutes of light cardio on the elliptical with two bridal magazines.

I met up with Ryan as he was finishing his workout. As we were walking out we couldn’t help but laugh because Ryan was the one carrying my bridal magazines. Here he is, this beefy muscle guy, walking around with girly magazines. Gotta love it! 🙂

Breakfast

Breakfast came together quickly!

Last night I prepped some oats to use in a breakfast bowl with Greek yogurt and sliced strawberries.

Oatmeal + Yogurt + Strawberries

I didn’t reheat the oats because I really like cold oatmeal (weird, I know). I loved this combination!

Thursday Morning Breakfast

Oat 'n' Berry Bowl

Now I’m off to an Invisalign appointment before heading to work!

Breeze Comfort Giveaway Winner

I love that you guys are as obsessed with sports bras as I am! 😀

The lucky winner of the Breeze Comfort sports bra is Blair!

Blair said, “I love sports bras in bright colors! I always like to sport a peppy outfit when working out. While I’m not the type to put on makeup and do my hair for a trip to the gym, I think wearing something that looks put together vs an old ripped tshirt actually pushes me to go harder!”

Congrats, Blair. Please email me at pbfingers@gmail.com with your contact information to receive your brand new bra!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Your breakfast looks DELISH!! I have never had cold oatmeal before, but now I really want to try it! What kind of oatmeal do you use?

i use old fashioned quaker oats (or the generic brand of old fashioned oats). i cook them like instant oatmeal (w/ water in the microwave for a minute) but i like them more than instant oats b/c they’re “chewier.” 🙂

I like chewy oats also! 🙂 Do you cook the old fashioned oats in the microwave before putting them in the refrigerator overnight? Also, I was wondering if you’ve ever tried overnight “oats” with barley or quinoa?

I love days like that. I wish they’d happen more often. Dreaded workouts are the worst to get through.

I like cold oats too. They’re more filling to me for some reason.

i’ve never tried cold oats but they do look delicious!! something about warm bananas, cinnamon and nut butter in my oats is too hard for me to make the switch 😉
