Happy Father’s Day

June 19, 2011 by Julie 59 Comments

Happy Father’s Day!

father daughter

A very special father’s day wish to my father…

The man who prayed for two girls because he wasn’t sure he could handle two boys

The man who got his two girls and made them his world

020_GettingReady

The man who taught me how to throw a baseball (and subsequently hit me in the thigh with the ball, leaving a bruise the size of my head)

The man who hid a red light deep in the forest behind our house every Christmas Eve so we could go on a walk and “see Rudolph” in the distance

The man who took his five-year-old daughter to Hooter’s to eat clams

The man who taught me how to eat whipped cream straight from the can

The man who tickles relentlessly

The man who asked me what I did to be a boss and a leader every night at dinner

The man who insisted that I take a personal finance class in college, even though it had nothing to do with my major

The man who held rock ‘n’ roll dance parties in the living room

daddy2

The man who tells more people about my blog than I do

The man who loves his family with all that he is

043_Ceremony

The man I know I am so lucky to have as my father

The man I will always call “Daddy” no matter how old I am

dad and daughter

I love you, Daddy!

Happy Father’s Day!

You’re dad is the cutest!!! Happy father’s day to my dad who is always there to provide “life lessons” (which I refer to as lectures) my stepdad for his unconditional love (and for putting up with my less-than-ideal teenage years) and to my soon to be father-in-law Don who, from the very beginning, has always made me feel like his daughter ♥
