I’m a Little Bit Country

February 23, 2011 by Julie 34 Comments

Plaid is Rad!

  • Red and black plaid shirt: Antilia Femme (via Marshall’s)
  • Black belt: Antilia Femme (came with the shirt)
  • Flare jeans: Earnest Sewn (via RueLaLa.com)
  • Black suede booties: Bumper
  • Watch: Michele

Two things:

1. I wore this shirt to church a couple of weeks ago and matched a 7-year-old boy. He was embarrassed. I was not. We’re twins!!!

2. According to fashion guru J, flare jeans are coming back in style. This is great news for me, as I never stopped wearing them in the first place. Flares balance out a booty and hips and as a total pear, I love ’em!

Woo!! You totally rock those jeans! I’m not huge on the flannel trend on myself but it looks awesome on you! At the moment I’m searching for a new pair of jeans but just haven’t found ‘the ones’ yet.

I love this outfit! I also have never stopped wearing flares! My waist and hip ratio are completely unporportioniate (is that a word?!). I love flares, but I have such a hard time finding jeans that fit me everywhere!

Is it just the pic or are you walking on the bottom of your jeans? Doesn’t that ruin the bottoms?

Flares are the bomb. I never stopped wearing them, and I’m SO happy that they’re coming back in style. Skinnies are NEVER as flattering! I’m an apple shape and they only exaggerate that. Yay for more leg room!
