Original Portrait Giveaway

November 22, 2011 by Julie 679 Comments

I am so excited about the giveaway I have coming your way today!

About a week ago, I received an email from Meredith, a beautiful artist from Virginia. She is graduating in a few weeks from Longwood University with a BFA with a concentration in painting and drawing and is beginning to build a career as a fine artist and a portrait artist.

She sent me an amazing watercolor portrait that she did of Sadie and I was absolutely blown away.

dog print 005

Isn’t it amazing!? (And yes, I still have it in its protective wrapping until I can get it framed, hence the glare. I don’t want to take any chances with it!)

When I showed Ryan the picture he was just as impressed with her work as I was and we both treasure this gorgeous piece of art from Meredith.

Meredith has generously offered to do a giveaway of one single-subject watercolor portrait of an animal or person (approximately 10’’ x 12’’). (Check out her blog to see a current portrait she’s working on of an adorable little girl!)

Meredith notes that her work will be “as dynamic as the photograph allows,” and says that a vibrant, engaging photo will help her produce a vibrate, engaging portrait!

All I can think about right now when I think about this giveaway is what an amazing gift one of her original portraits would be for new parents (a baby portrait would be adorable!), an enthusiastic pet owner or parents of a recent graduate… or you can get one done of a pet or person who is special to you to keep for yourself!

If you would like to work with Meredith or check out some of her work, you may browse her Etsy shop, visit her blog or Facebook page or follow her on Twitter.

To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, telling me what you would like a portrait of if you won an original portrait from Meredith!

I will randomly select a winner tomorrow afternoon. Good luck!!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I would LOVE to get a painting of Willow, my 5 month old kitten who has deformities on ALL 4 limbs! She is absolutely amazing, and teaches me every day about life. Willow doesn’t let something as silly as crooked legs slow her down, she goes up & down the stairs, and swims (YES, swims) 2 hours a week! She is a living testament that no matter what life throws at you, it can be handled!

Yes, I am a crazy cat lady, but I am a vet tech…it comes with the job 🙂

I have always wanted a painted portrait of my Shih-poo, Charlie. He is obsessed with this small colorful styrofoam ball (originally a cat toy!!) That when we are not playing fetch he keeps it safely in his mouth just barely sticking out so you can see it. I have the perfect picture that depicts this!

I would love to get a portrait for my parents of their dog. They never had animals or anything when we were growing up and when I rescued a dog they agreed to keep him! They are literally obsessed with him now and I can totally see a portrait of Wiley (the dog) hanging in their bedroom or living room.
