Revamped

January 18, 2011 by Julie 64 Comments

I love revamping leftovers into a whole new meal.

This afternoon the salmon with raspberry glaze from last night’s dinner was transformed into a raspberry salmon sandwich.

Viola!

I served the salmon sandwich alongside some curried cauliflower that I prepared last night while roasting the green beans we had for dinner. Multitasking at its finest!

Such a good lunch!

Call for Exercise Mantras

I am in the process of putting together a post about my favorite exercise mantras. Examples of what I’m talking about may be found in these posts:

  • 168 Hours
  • If You Keep Doing What You’ve Been Doing…
  • A New Opportunity

Along with my go-to mantras, I want to compile a list of motivational quotes or silly sayings that you also use that may help all of us get our butts into the gym on the days when we’re lacking motivation. Please share your go-to exercise mantras below and look for them in an upcoming post! 😀

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

“Running is a big question mark that’s there each and every day. It asks you, ‘Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?”

My spin instructor asked, “Are you going to listen to your mind, or are you going to listen to your body?” …I often tell myself I’m done when my body could go much longer.

I love how you and Ryan do so many great one-dish meals. My boyfriend and I were thinking of trying your crockpot chicken and sweet potato…we’re such horrible multi-dish/pan/plate people!

I know you love making smoothies for yourself and Jamba Juice just started their probiotic smoothie line! This is a coupon that ends tomorrow to get one of their smoothies for $1. Probiotic jamba sounds like a good idea to me! I’m going to try one tomorrow!

I have a few running tricks which sound kinda cruel if you were doing them to someone else, but really work for me 😉

I love the “Just do it” to get out onto the pavement, and then when I’m running I will mess with myself. I’ll say, “Sprint to the next post and you can stop”, but when I get there I see if I can continue on further! Works on the treadmill too, I’ll promise myself a break or slow down at the next milestone to get me there when I’m flagging (e.g. at the next mile marker, which can seem to far away at times!), and when I reach it I feel a surge of accomplishment, and every step after that feels so great! Try it and you’ll see what I mean…
