Sadie’s New Friend

April 20, 2012 by Julie 58 Comments

Sadie made a new friend today.

At around 9:30 a.m., the FedEx guy dropped off a package from the National Peanut Board that included this little character:

mr. peanut

Cute, huh?

Someone else thought so, too.

sadie and mr. peanut 035

He quickly became Sadie’s captive.

I held up the stuffed peanut guy to show Sadie his cute little peanutty body and she jumped up, took him from the safety of my grasp and brought him into another room where the two of them got properly acquainted.

moment alone

no face

Needless to say, my time with the little stuffed peanut didn’t last very long, but he found a very loving, extremely physical best buddy in Sadie.

sadie and mr. peanut 038

Yes, I think they’ll get along juuuust fine.

Lunch

My package from the National Peanut Board was stuffed with peanuts and peanut butter and I’ve been eating peanut butter fingers like they’re going out of style today.

My two victims included these two jars of wonderful:

peanut butter and company maple

Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple and Sunland Natural Peanut Butter Creamy Chocolate Spread.

My taste buds are in heaven.

Even though I couldn’t keep my fingers out of these jars this morning, I still wanted to include both peanut butters in my lunch and toasted a honey wheat bagel before topping each half with a different peanut butter.

I added a little color to the meal in the form of a sliced pear and lil’ tomatoes.

And now because it’s Friday and we all could use a little more laughter in our lives on Friday, I must share the following links with you guys that I’ve seen throughout the week that made me laugh:

  • Texts From My Dog
  • What Should We Call Me

Have a GREAT weekend! Smile

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

For Christmas, my husband got a gingerbread-man shaped oven mitt from one of his coworkers. I put it on my hand like a puppet and suddenly, our terrier was obsessed with it. “Gingey” — as we call him — is her fav toy now. He’s never seen the inside of the oven.

    Julie,
I just wanted to thank you for being so inspirational to me! Let me explain…I have had a facebook group for some of my girlfriends for a while where I shared nutrition tips, snack ideas, and running tips, but that was as far as I was planning on taking it. I started reading your blog (and love it!), and decided that it was time to take my growing facebook group to a new level- so I created my blog. It’s nothing big yet, and it’s in that changing-all-the-time stage, but I just wanted to thank you for all of your blog start up tips and tricks! It’s definitely made my process a lot easier. However, I never would have done it without you-so thank you! It’s been so much fun. 🙂
