Seating Chart Math & a Crampy Workout

October 23, 2010 by Julie 10 Comments

Good afternoon!

Hope you guys are doing well!

Let’s get caught up, shall we?

Last night Ryan and I finalized our wedding seating chart. At times it felt like a huge mathematical equation! We had to get “x” amount of people at “x” number of tables… and the personalities had to mesh. Easier said than done!

In the end I am excited about our table arrangements and I hope our guests will have a great time chatting, eating, drinking and dancing at our lil’ hoopla in ONE week.

Today we will be working on the escort boards. It’s quite a project that involves lots of stamping! Pictures to come! 😀

Workout

This morning I intended to take Sadie on a 5-mile run. About a mile in, I started to feel really crampy. I ate a decent-sized breakfast around 7:45 a.m. and figured that running at 9 a.m. would be a safe bet. Unfortunately I cramp up so easily when I have food or water in my belly.

After 1.5 miles of running with Sadie, I called it quits and dropped her off at our apartment before heading to the gym with Ryan.

I finished my workout by doing 15 minutes on the stair master and 20 minutes on the elliptical.

I had the latest issue of Cooking Light to entertain me and flagged a bunch of recipes I want to tackle.chicken sandwich 013Chocolate walnut tart… Gimme!chicken sandwich 014I would like to try to make this oyster bisque this weekend. It looks delicious and I bet it would make our apartment smell fantastic.

Once our workout for the day was done, Ryan and I took Sadie on a quick one-mile walk before heading home for lunch.

Lunch

First thing this morning, I placed two chicken breasts in the crock pot and covered them with a Thai chicken broth.

At around noon, they were ready for eatin’.chicken sandwich 004

I pulled the chicken using two forks and placed it on a piece of Nature’s Pride whole wheat toast. I topped the chicken with honey mustard and added some broccoli slaw to the mix to get some veggies in my meal.chicken sandwich 003On the side I enjoyed a small bag of Pop Secret light butter popcorn. Sadie helped me with that one. 😉 chicken sandwich 011 Right now I’m blogging from the backyard and am loving this weather. It’s warm, but not sweatin’ hot, which suits me juuuust fine.

I have quite a few things on the agenda for today, so I better get to it.

I hope you have a fantastic Saturday!

The thought of doing the seating chart for our wedding was a task that was overwhelming. Knowing our friends and family, we knew that they were going to sit with and where they wanted anyways so we just decided to not bother and let them seat themselves wherever. Lol. It surprisingly went better than I ever thought it would and everyone was friends and celebrating with each other by the end of the evening.

That bisque looks wonderful! Good luck with getting everything done! So exciting that your wedding is so soon!

I think having to do a seating chart would be one of the most stressful parts!

And please try the bisque and let us know how it turns out – it sounds delicious 🙂

I feel the exact opposite when I run! If I don’t have food in me I feel crampy and sluggish when I run. 😛
Isn’t it cool how everyone’s body is different? Have a great weekend! 🙂

So many wedding preparations! It’s getting so close!

I”m so glad I didn’t have to do a wedding seating chart. We had a buffet which made things so much easier on me.

What is Thai chicken broth? I loooove Thai food, especially Thom Kha Kai, which has a chicken broth with lemon grass and coconut milk… Is it like that?
