Things I’m Loving Friday #112

November 27, 2015 by Julie 28 Comments

Good morning! I hope my American friends are checking in today with full bellies and happy hearts after a lovely Thanksgiving. And hopefully ALL of you are psyched that it is Friiiiday! Woop!

We had a delicious Thanksgiving and it is so, so wonderful to have my mom and dad here with us right now. I’m looking forward to the rest of their visit and plan to do my best to relax a bit during their stay. I’ll be sure to share a recap of the family fun on Monday!

In the meantime, let’s dive into your usual Things I’m Loving Friday post today and share a little bit about what we’re loving most this week. Below you will find a short list of the things that are making me smile and I’d love to read all about what you’re loving most in the comments section of this post.

Have a great weekend!

Things I’m Loving Friday

  • So Close to Giggles

chase julie 4 months

You guys, Chase is SO CLOSE to laughing out loud. He makes the biggest squeals of delight and flashes he big ol’ smile all day long, but laughter is still eluding us. C’mon, Mr. Chase! We want to hear your giggles! In the meantime, I am loving his gummy smiles. If you’re a new mama and your little one isn’t smiling yet, I am sending a ton of love and support your way. It’s hard to parent a little one in the beginning when you are getting absolutely no signs of positive feedback. Smiling makes a WORLD of difference and I feel like it comes right when you need it most.

  • Holiday Decorations

Christmas decorations

Can we all agree to leave our holiday decorations up year round? There’s something so wonderfully cozy and festive about a house all decked out in holiday cheer. I just love it! All of our Christmas decorations make me smile and I’m just bummed we only get to enjoy them for one month of the year!

  • Baby Suspenders

grandpa mom baby

Is there anything cuter than baby suspenders? Ninety five percent of the time, Ryan and I dress Chase in cozy playsuits and jammies but we tried to step it up a notch and dress him in a snazzy little outfit for Thanksgiving. A special occasion called for a special outfit and I could not get over how cute he looked in his little suspenders. I feel like a Christmas bowtie may now be in our future…

  • Spiced Nuts

spiced nuts

Earlier this week, I made a giant batch of spiced nuts to share with friends and Chase’s Burn Boot Camp childcare BFF Miss Lindsey as a Thanksgiving thank you and they were so, so tasty. They were simple to make and we could not stop eating them in our house. I’ll be sure to share the recipe with you guys soon!

  • Stuffing

thanksgiving 2015

Why is stuffing something we only make and enjoy on Thanksgiving? Blasphemy! My mom and I talked about this ridiculousness and decided stuffing should be served much more often. I just love it so darn much. (I honestly think it’s one of my top five favorite foods.) We will be making it at Christmas this year, too, and I’m already counting down the days. Best Thanksgiving dish ever!

  • Black Friday Sales

  • White Plum Black Friday Sale

WP_BlackFriday_2015_Insta_3_logo

White Plum, one of my favorite affordable online boutiques, is currently featuring one heck of an amazing Black Friday sale on their site right now and asked if I would help spread the word. You guys, EVERYTHING is 50% off!! Awesome, right!? Just use the code BLACKISBACK. I’ve blogged about my love for their apparel numerous times (check out their tunics, dresses and leggings <—tons of cute holiday patterns!) and you can’t beat the prices during this sale, that’s for sure. Happy shopping!

We only really do stuffing at Christmas here in Ireland! There are “old style” families that have a Sunday roast dinner every week though and it’s a big feature! He really is such a smilie baby!!!

Bow ties and suspenders are so cute on Chase! Our favorites for our son are LittleMrTies. She has some great stuff – check her out on Instagram. I like the ties because they button to the shirt and don’t have to worry about baby choking themselves! She is having a great Black Friday sale too.

Holiday decorations – yay! We can finally put them up! Some great sales going on too. I’m not brave enough to approach the stores but I’ve already shipped plenty from the comfort of my own home. Im thankful today for a great Thanksgiving and for some quality girlfriend time today!

Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving. Gymboree has 50% off right now – you might check them out for Chase – very high quality and cute kids clothes. My 12 and 13 year olds are now past Gymboree but it was our favorite store when they were little. They run great sales throughout the year.

Baby giggles are the best!! My little girl is 8.5 months old and is a very smiley baby but she hardly ever laughs, so when she does it just melts me! I am loving that she started crawling this week! She is doing the “army crawl” with her tummy on the ground but she can cover a lot of distance! Thanks for the Anthropologie sale alert, they definitely have the BEST candles. I have an oatmeal cookie scented one from there and I am soooooo sad that it is almost done, so I think I may need to give Santa a hint about the sale 😉

I love holiday decorations! I’m excited to start putting ours up. I’m loving my parents’ fireplace. It’s a little silly, especially since it’s not even that cold right now, but I love sitting by it with tea and breakfast in the mornings. So cozy! Have a great weekend 🙂

I’m glad you and your family had a happy Thanksgiving! Mine was a bit smaller this year since my brother recently moved a few states away and had to work, but it was still relaxing.

I’m also loving holiday decorations (I’ve been saving new ideas to my Pinterest boards) and watching Christmas movies!

Oh my goodness Julie! You keep getting prettier and Chase keeps getting cuter 🙂 Recently, I’ve been loving my Silk almond milk caramel coffee creamer! It’s so amazing! I love almond milk, but have never liked it in my coffee. But, this creamer changed my mind! I highly recommend it. Happy Holidays!

Such cute smiles! I unfortunately messed up my stuffing this year. It was dry and just seemed to be missing something. Not sure what went wrong because I thought I followed the recipe.
