Good morning!!!
As soon as this blog post is published, I will be driving to Sarasota for a beach barbeque to kick off Merri and Pete’s wedding weekend! I’m ready to get this party started!
Before I go, I wanted to pop in and share a few of my recent loves with you guys in another Things I’m Loving Friday post. As always, please feel free to play along in the comments section!
Things I’m Loving Friday VI
Anne deserves a big high five for this one! When we were in the Outaouais region of Quebec together a few weeks ago, I misplaced my lens cap more than a couple of times and Anne recommended purchasing a ridiculously cheap lens cap leash on Amazon. I bought one for less than two dollars and love it! An elastic band goes around the camera and it’s attached to a button that is affixed to the lens cap, so the cap dangles from the camera when it’s unhooked from the lens. No more losing my lens cap!
- Fall Decorations
Hooray for fall decor! There’s something I love about walking into a friend’s house or a local shop and seeing pumpkins and beautiful oranges, reds and yellows everywhere. It means the holiday season is upon us and that makes me waaaay too happy!
This book is one of Ryan’s all-time favorite novels and I finally started reading it this week. I’m already hooked and hope to finish it before the movie comes out on November 1. It’s a science fiction novel, so I wasn’t sure it would be a good fit for me, but it’s definitely keeping me entertained!
Half Pops are partially popped popcorn kernels and they are ridiculously delicious… and addicting! I haven’t found them for sale in Ocala yet, but I snagged a bag from The Fresh Market when I was in Jacksonville and polished off the bag in no time at all.
- Clean Sheets
Oh how I adore crawling into bed at night after we just changed the sheets! Clean sheets smell so good and feel extra cozy. And now I want to crawl back into bed…
Finally a fully-lined sports bra with built-in inserts! Since I am a life-long member of the IBTC, I appreciate lined sports bras that add shape to my chest, but cannot stand it when the inserts fall out of my sports bras when I wash them in the washing machine. I received the sports bra from New Balance in preparation for a run I am doing with the company next month and wore it during Saturday’s Race for the Cure. It was supportive and comfortable and I love the hot pink color!
After I accidentally left my 32-ounce water bottle in Los Angeles during the IDEA World Fitness Convention, I lasted about two months until I broke down and bought a replacement. I love it because it makes drinking lots of water a little bit easier for me. I try to drink two bottles (or more!) a day so I can be sure I’m getting the recommended 64 ounces of water.

Question of the Morning
- What is one thing you are loving lately?
Fresh sheets on the bed are the best thing EVER. Hands down…no competition! 😉
I am NOT a member of the IBTC and find it ridiculously hard to find a sports bra that holds my girls in place and doesn’t give me uni-boob!
Right there with you sister. Having huge boobs is no fun when it comes to running. I wear three sports bras when I run. I most likely have the biggest uniboob ever!
I am loving the Thursday night Fight Fitness class at my gym. It melts away the stress of the week.
That popcorn looks soooo good! I’m loving Coconut Cashews from TJs! I just said this on Tina’s blog. They’re so, so good and addicting!
Hi Julie!
Just wanted to say how much I love your blog, I have recently started my own and would love for you to have a quick look if you have time!
xxx
I loved Ender’s Game! I didn’t know what to do with myself when I finished reading it. I hope the movie does the book justice!
Not a member of the IBTC but have my own sports bra issues. I am glad you posted that link to the New Balance site – I see a couple sports bras that might work for me and my pickiness…..I’ve never tried New Balance clothing – looks like my credit card is going to get a work out too 🙂
I am also loving that I found yet another teriffic instructor at my gym. We have some really great instructors and I am so spoiled!
One thing I am loving lately are the Archer Farms flavored coffees (specifically vanilla bean creme brulee & caramel macciato). Such a delicious way to wake up in the morning!!
Ohhh wow I need to find some of these half pops! Seems like the best idea since muffin tops 🙂 Sure it comes as no surprise, but I’m really loving all things pumpkin these days. Just posted about pumpkin candy corn fudge and pumpkin butter. Both turned out deliciously!
Also, I’m really liking those Wilton melting chocolates. They’re very versatile. Just made a great Halloween popcorn with them!
I have an obsession with clean sheets too! Must be why I sleep so well in hotel beds 🙂 Happy Friday!
Three cheers for lens cap leashes! 🙂 xo
Thank you for sharing the sports bra! I also love a padded sports bra, but really dislike putting the pads back in after a wash!! I will be buying those from NB for sure!!
Is it weird that i love getting new sports bras? Nobody ever sees them lol!
Definitely my hubby 🙂 He’s been traveling a TON lately so I really appreciate the time we have together!
I love my Bobble bottle! It’s 1 litre so just over 32 ounces and has a built in filter – you get 300 uses out of it and BPA free too! Those half popped kernals sound amazing!!! The lens cap leash…I NEED ONE!
I’m all about my Nalgene!!! Those sports bras look amazing. I hate finding random liners in my clean clothes pile!
The color of that sports bra is super cute!
I love Ender’s Game too! I read it yearsss ago and didn’t know it was coming out as a movie until this week. Awesome. Hope you enjoy the book!
And, I’m with you on the sports bra inserts falling out–so annoying when you have the insert on one side & can’t find the other side! lol
I’m loving my $2 Ikea milk frother! I’ve had it for years and never used it, and just rediscovered it this morning. I used frothed milk, coffee from my Keurig and a sprinkling of cinnamon to make a faux cappucino in one minute this morning and it made my day! My only regret is that I haven’t been using it all along… lost time… sigh.
Next time you should come to Montreal 😉 xoxo
I can’t live without my nalgene waterbottle! I drink at least 2 a day. Have fun this weekend!
Those Half Pops look delicious! A lot of my dance friends have that Nalgene water bottle, and I should probably use one like it so I don’t have to keep filling up my tiny plastic water bottle!
The IBTC Haha! I love that. I am right there with ya and absolutely hate the inserts that fall out and get all bunched up and what not. I will definitely have to invest in one of those sports bras!
Niiiice, thanks sooo much for the lens cap leash recommendation! I was hoping something like that existed and I’m definitely going to have to get one. Everyday I cross my fingers and hope I don’t break or lose the cap to my Canon, haha. And it’s about time someone came up with a really good sports bra, huh??? You would think that every company would make them that way. 😛
Clean sheets are so fantastic aren’t they! Random fact, Oprah changes her sheet every day (or has them changed for her ;))…. one day! I am loving BLOGGING! Have a great weekend!
I wish I was Oprah! (sometimes)
A word on the lens cap leash: The little button unsticks from the adhesive pad that you stick on the lens cap. Foe me it only took 2 weeks. I really can’t complain because of the price, but you might need to hot glue or super glue it back on. Still better than losing a cap!
Pumpkin oatmeal with peanut butter before work!
What kind of camera do you use? We just got a SLR a couple weeks ago.
I absolutely love half pops! The white cheddar flavor is AMAZING!
OMG – that half popped popcorn is brilliant!! Have a great time at the wedding – I love weddings!! 🙂

I want a nalgene water bottle? Is there a store that sells them or do I have to buy it online? Thx! I need to up my water intake I need all the help I can get, lol!!!
I hear you on the lined sports bras!!! So necessary, no matter your size. IBTC! Why have I not heard this acronym before?! Amazing!
I am going to have to try that sports bra- I am definitely a member of the IBTC (much to my dismay), so I am completely flat and look like a boy when I wear normal sports bras.
I LOVE those 32oz Nalgene bottles! I have 3 of them that I rotate using/running through the dishwasher so I’m never without one. I usually drink 3 full bottles a day and I know having those bottles is what keeps me drinking 😉
Ender’s Game is quite possibly my favorite book ever. My sister, Mom and I are all obsessed with it and so excited to see the movie together when it comes out.
I also love my Pumpkin Caramel Latte flavored coffee from World Market. Taste like fall!
Thank you for sharing your favourites! I do a similar concept on my blog: Favourite Four. Check out the latest edition: http://www.dedicatednotaddicted.com/favourite-four-2nd-edition/ Have a great weekend!
I love the entire Enders Game series, I re-read it again after not having read it in probably 10 years and still loved it. The first book is by far the best but the follow on books are still so good too. I’m looking forward to the movie but I am nervous about them ruining it a bit which sometimes movies of books can do.
half pops sounds divine!!! those are the best part of the bowl!!
I hear ya on the fresh bed sheets Oooo Ill have to go get me some half pops. If you’re desperate, I would be more than happy to send you some since I’m right in Jax. Let me know!
I am in need of that lens cap leash. I lost mine on a recent hike:/ I watched topple down a cliff…oops!
I’m absolutely loving my Tazo Chai Tea Latte concentrate – I honestly feel like its one of the things getting me through this semester. And I’m pretty excited about my RxRope that I ordered to *hopefully* help me to get better at double unders!
I have just discovered your blog and I love it! I have recently re-launched my own website and your blogging tips are so helpful, thank you.
Oh and clean sheets really are the best thing ever 🙂
Super cute Fall decorations! Right now I am loving my new Saucony Guide 7 running shoes and the new Camelback waterbottle with a filter. Hope the weekend was great! I’m sure it was!
My purple and pink Nalgene 32-ounce wide mouth is attached to my hip! I think the measurements on the side challenge me to drink more during the day. If I see the water line hasn’t dropped a lot in an hour or two, I take a big swig.
I loved Ender’s Game. I found it while I was in Iraq in 03. I read it like 5 times while I was over there.
