thredUP Giveaway! (My Fav Site for Quality Secondhand Clothes)

November 30, 2016 by Julie 1,024 Comments

You guys I have one heck of an awesome giveaway for you today from one of my most-visited sites on the Internet that you’ll surely recognize if you’ve been a PBF reader for more than a hot second. Truth be told, I had to sift through numerous pages on my blog to find out when I first mentioned thredUP because I’ve been using it for so long. (Turns out I first became a fan back in the summer of 2014 and thredUP made its blog debut in my 44th Things I’m Loving Friday feature.)

I was absolutely thrilled when the company reached out to me about partnering together for a giveaway on the blog because it is truly one of my favorite websites out there for incredibly affordable clothing.

thredUP coupon code and giveaway

thredUP is my go-to resource for high quality secondhand clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags and while I’ve been using the site for more than two years for myself, after Chase was born I fell in love with it all over again thanks to its incredible selection of like-new (and often brand new!) children’s clothing and accessories.

thredup toddler clothes

I love ordering from thredUP because I know that I will receive a beautifully packaged box of clothes (they wrap everything up in tissue paper and attach their own tags so it really does feel special!) and their return policy is wonderful! I search for my favorite brands (Free People, lululemon, Kate Spade, Zara, ASOS, etc.) and am always so impressed with the selection. The items are up to 90% off the original retail price and always feel like a steal!

I personally prefer to search thredUP when I am looking for something specific because they have SO much stuff. I was on a big-time romper kick this summer and regularly perused the rompers and jumpsuits section of thredUP in my size and was able to nab a handful of great finds for way less than I’d pay if I bought them brand new.

Here’s a look at one of my random summertime thredUP hauls:

thredup summer

(An assortment of Ralph Lauren/Baby Gap clothes for Chase and a Dolce Vita romper, comfy Free People pants and Gap sandals for me!)

thredup romper

DV Dolce Vita Romper (thredUP price: $26.99 / Retail value: $95) Victoria’s Secret Bikini Top: (thredUP price: $5.99 / Retail value: $18)

And here’s a quick rundown of a small handful of the items I’ve purchased from thredUP over the years:

Julie thredup

Old Navy Puffer Vest: (thredUP price: $10.99 / Retail value: $40) Lululemon Crossbody Bag: (thredUP price: $48 / Retail value: $119)

thredup chambray

Forever 21 Chambray Tie Crop Top (thredUP price: $7.99 / Retail value: $27) / Neon Marc Jacobs Crossbody Purse (thredUP price: $80.99 / Retail value: $258)

yumi kim thredup dress

On me: Yumi Kim Dress (thredUP price: $30 / Retail value: $143) / On Chase: Carters Polo + Carters Pants (thredUP price: $5 + $7)

lululemon thredup

Lululemon 1/4 zip (thredUP price: $61.99 / Retail value: $118)

thredup lululemon

thredUP Giveaway + Discount Offer

Now it’s giveaway time!!

One PBF reader will win a $250 credit to thredUP to do a little high-quality secondhand shopping of their own!

To enter this giveaway, simply visit thredUP and leave a comment on this blog post telling me about one item you saw on the site that you would like to purchase if you won the giveaway! I will randomly select a giveaway winner on Friday.

And for everyone out there reading this blog, you may also use the code PBF40 to get 40% off your first thredUP order through February 1, 2017! Happy shopping!

Love ThredUp! I saw a few cute pieces for my toddler boys for our upcoming Park City ski trip. I’m also on the hunt for a cute top to wear with a sequin skirt I bought on ThredUp ($7.99!!) and saw a few options.

I am currently VEST OBSESSED. I feel like they change up even a casual outfit into something cute. And I love pairing them with jeans, a flannel and converse for a weekend look. But I only have one since they’re usually so expensive! I would snag a few extra colors! Especially because my fiance and I are going to do an engagement shoot soon & I feel like a vest would be the perfect look!

Also, can I just say it’s refreshing to see bloggers talking about // doing sponsored posts for brands they obviously love & use daily. Nothing worse than hearing about a brand once and never again. It seems so disingenuous.

I love picking up gently warn items for my nephew- knowing he’ll only wear them a handful of times before outgrows them. I love all of the athletic options and the unique dresses!

Hi Julie! You always have the cutest style 🙂 Since holiday party season is officially upon us, I would want a fun sparkly dress like this one:
    https://www.thredup.com/product/women-as-u-wish-teal-cocktail-dress/18177846?shortcut=4141&sizing_id=568%2C778
Usually party dresses only get worn once or twice, so it seems perfect to use a company like Thred Up and keep it under budget! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

It took a little digging, but I found so much good stuff! The tip to search for your favorite designers is a good one.

The number one item I have my eye on is a gorgeous printed silk Tibi shift–it’s fun, feminine, figure-flattering, and looks as if it could be vintage, all par for the course for me, but it’s also a bit more elegant and sophisticated than what normally finds its way into my closet. In other words, I think my mom would approve. I absolutely love it and think I could wear it year-round for any special event!

One piece of advice to fellow shoppers: there are EXCELLENT deals on jeans (even before the extra 40% off), but be sure to check the inseam length as many have been hemmed. I think there’s a woman out there with my exact taste in J. Brand jeans who’s my same size but tragically much shorter than me, which I didn’t notice until I was about to check out.
