Three Days

April 23, 2012 by Julie 114 Comments

The first three days of this week will be packed with freelance work and blog post planning, but once Thursday hits, I’m home free! It is going to be a fun week over here for two main reasons:

  1. Ryan and I are leaving on a three-day cruise with friends on Thursday afternoon
  2. Friday is my 27th birthday

Since I will be turning 27 on April 27, this year is my golden birthday. I will be celebrating like a mature adult on a booze cruise in the Bahamas.

Yes sir!

Lunch

Lunch today included tuna salad served on top of a toasted whole wheat English muffin with roasted Brussels sprouts and kettlecorn on the side.

Have any of you guys tried Popcorn Indiana kettlecorn? My gosh, it’s delicious!

It was an impulse buy at the grocery store yesterday and I snacked on it all day on Sunday. I can’t get enough!

Book Club Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that my review of the April Book Club selection, The Book Thief, will be posted on Thursday. If you’re planning to review the book on your blog and would like a link to your post included in the link roundup, please email it to me at pbfingers@gmail.com by Wednesday.

Thanks and happy reading!

Question of the Afternoon

  • What is one thing you are looking forward to this week?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

You have to try the cinnamon white chocolate variety – it should absolutely be a controlled substance.

I’ve always called those kind of years “champagne” birthdays (ie. 27 on the 27th)…so a booze cruise seems totally appropriate. In fact, NECESSARY even. What better way to fully immerse yourself in the champagney-ness of your special day?

    Enjoy and happy birthday! Cheers!

We’re almost bday twins. Mine is this Sunday, the 29th. My golden bday was last year and I spent it enjoying margaritas in Mexico 🙂 This year is the big 3 – 0 and while I won’t be someplace tropical, I will be enjoying my favorite pizza and beer with some of my best friends. Hope you have a great cruise and bday.

Golden birthday with a booze cruise?! So jealous. I didn’t realize they had 3 day cruises, that sounds like it wouldn’t be too expensive. I guess living in FL makes it even cheaper (well cheaper than flying down from Philly).

I’m looking forward to more playoff hockey (go Flyers), my friend’s bday party this weekend, and running double digits for the first time ever! (Dreading and excited for that one all at the same time lol.)
